HexForge casts you as a deity guiding a fledgling settlement across a hex grid. Each turn, you manage eight interconnected resources—population, food, wood, stone, and more—by harvesting tiles and building infrastructure while navigating random events like droughts and disease. The game offers single-player survival runs scored on a leaderboard, competitive skirmish matches against AI, and async multiplayer ranked play where your territorial decisions directly affect opponents.

You are a god. Your people have just settled on an unforgiving hex grid.
Guide them through 10 turns of resource management, terrain manipulation,
and random events — or watch your settlement collapse.
── SINGLE PLAYER MODE ──
Found your town on any tile you choose. Every hex around you produces
(or drains) resources each turn. Chop forests for wood. Irrigate plains
for better food yield. Build housing to grow your population.
Manage eight interconnected resources: Population, Happiness, Food,
Water, Wood, Stone, Medicine, and Housing.
Queue actions using tools from your inventory. Buy more tools from the shop.
Survive random events — droughts, disease outbreaks, migrations, windfalls.
At the end of turn 10, your performance is scored and added to the leaderboard.
── SKIRMISH MODE ──
Face off against a CPU opponent on a shared hex board. You each control
a town on opposite ends of the map. The board is contested — your decisions
ripple outward and affect your opponent's territory. 7 turns. One winner.
── ARENA MODE ──
Challenge real players in async 1v1 matches on a live shared board.
Queue up, get matched by league, and take turns at your own pace —
you have 3 days per move before the game is forfeited.
Climb the ranks from Bronze all the way to Masters and prove your
settlement is stronger than everyone else's.
── PATRON GODS ──
Before every game, choose your patron deity. Your god permanently
shapes your run by discounting the tools they favour and making
rival tools more expensive. Use their once-per-game superpower
to instantly reshape the board at a critical moment.
