Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Brant LLC ("we", "us", or "our") and govern your access to and use of IdleDB (idledb.com) and any other websites, applications, or services we operate (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Services you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or otherwise use the Services. If you are between 13 and the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has consented to your use of the Services. By creating an account, you represent that the information you provide is accurate.

2. Your Account

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
• One person may not maintain more than one account, and accounts may not be shared, sold, or transferred.
• You must notify us promptly at brantsllc@gmail.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
• You may delete your account at any time from your profile page. Deletion of associated personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Cast votes through automated means, scripts, bots, or multiple accounts; manipulate rankings; or otherwise distort community signals.
• Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Services beyond ordinary browsing, or interfere with rate limits, security measures, or robots.txt directives.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, server, or part of the Services, or probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system.
• Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or any code that may damage or disrupt the Services.
• Use the Services to harass, abuse, defame, or harm any person.
• Misrepresent your identity, impersonate others, or use offensive usernames.
• Use the Services in violation of any applicable law or regulation.

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms.

4. Game Data and Intellectual Property

Game titles, descriptions, screenshots, trailers, ratings, player counts, and other game metadata displayed on the Services come from public sources, including the Steam Web API, SteamSpy, and the iTunes Search API. All such content is the property of its respective owners (for example, Valve, the game publishers, Apple). We claim no ownership of third-party content and display it for informational purposes.

The IdleDB and Brant LLC names and logos, our original ranking algorithms, page layouts, and code are our property and may not be copied or used without permission. You retain ownership of any content you submit (such as votes), but grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, display, and aggregate that content as part of the Services' normal operation.

5. Mature Content

Some games listed on the Services may contain content intended for adults. The Services use an age-gate before showing such content, and your confirmation is remembered through a cookie as described in our Privacy Policy. By confirming you are an adult, you accept responsibility for viewing that content under the laws of your jurisdiction.

6. Privacy

Our collection, use, sharing, and retention of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Services you also agree to the practices described there.

7. Third-Party Links and Services

The Services link to external storefronts (Steam, the iOS App Store) and rely on third-party providers (such as Google Sign-In, Google Analytics, Resend, and AWS). We are not responsible for the content, terms, or privacy practices of these third parties. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms.

8. Changes to the Services

We may add, modify, or remove features, content, rankings, or sections of the Services at any time, without notice. We may also impose limits on certain features or restrict access to parts of the Services without liability.

9. Disclaimers

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. Game data, player counts, ratings, prices, and rankings are provided for informational purposes only, may be incomplete, out of date, or inaccurate, and should not be relied on for purchase decisions.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Brant LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill, arising from your use of our Services.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Brant LLC harmless from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the Services, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time and delete your account from your profile page. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law) will survive.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or your use of the Services will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. If you are a consumer in the European Union or United Kingdom, this clause does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Changes will be posted on this page along with the updated effective date. For material changes we will provide additional notice through the Services or by email. Continued use of the Services after the updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance.

15. Miscellaneous

• If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force.
• Our failure to enforce a right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision.
• These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Brant LLC regarding the Services.
