Chaos Button: Idle Tap Toy
by Andreas Fetscher
Media
Chaos Button wraps a single-button clicker around a temperamental machine with real heat management, where careful planning and risky presses trade off against catastrophic overheating and lost points. You'll unlock 72 distinct chaotic events across four rarity tiers, upgrade visible modules to boost your score multiplier, and complete a collectible Field Notes catalog entirely through play. It's built for players who enjoy tactile toy-like systems and grind-friendly progression, with a daily challenge mode offering score competition on a level playing field.
About this game
One big button. One temperamental machine. Press it.
Chaos Button is a toy-machine game about pressing a very real-feeling button on a very unreasonable machine — and managing the Heat it builds up while it pays out (or loses) fictional Chaos Points.
THE MACHINE DOES THINGS
- 72 authored Chaos Events across four rarity tiers: the machine vents steam, prints tickets, oozes coolant, rains bolts, erupts point geysers — and rarer, stranger things.
- Every event you witness is logged to your Field Notes catalog. Fill it from Common to Legendary — every entry is reachable by play, none are for sale.
THREE WAYS TO PRESS
- Careful cools the coil. Bold swings bigger. Wild is ridiculous.
- Heat is real: push a hot machine too far and it trips — burned points and a forced cool-down.
- Safety Nets catch messy presses (while you still have one).
A MACHINE THAT GROWS
- Workbench upgrades bolt visible modules onto the rig: vent fan, score gears, charge cells and more.
- Recalibrate to climb Machine Mark eras — a permanent score multiplier and a new chassis look.
- Earn wardrobe cosmetics by play: Chaos Points, milestones, rare anomaly finds.
DAILY TEST RUN
- A second mode with real rules: the same standardized rig for everyone, every day.
- 15 presses, no upgrades, no nets. A hot coil pays extra — and can trip.
- Graded results and a personal run ledger. New rig tomorrow.
KEEP SCORE
- Combo chains, Brink-mastery tiers, Machine Goals, and a full press history in the Machine Log.
- Idle charge: the machine stores points while you are away.
No account, no ads, no tracking. Everything runs on your device. Chaos Points are fictional and just for fun.
