Electric Cats: Idle Tycoon
by WYATT OWEN SAUNDERS
Media
Cats have claimed the universe's electrical supply in this grid-management idle game where generation is currency. You build themed power plants, route live-flowing wattage across three dispatch channels to balance market prices and grid demands, and gradually construct era-defining wonders that consume your infrastructure. Strategic players who enjoy systems with real tradeoffs—selling when prices spike, managing upkeep, and deciding what to sacrifice for progress—will find depth beneath the idle veneer.
About this game
Humans are gone. The cats remain — and they've decided the lightning Zeus hoards belongs to them.
Electric Cats is an idle power-empire game. It starts with a single cat making biscuits for less than a watt a second. It ends with your paws on the energy budget of a galaxy.
BUILD THE GRID
Kneaders, yarn dynamos, scratching-post turbines, sunbeam napperies. Every generator you buy is a real line on a real grid — and every one of them costs upkeep, so overbuilding a bad plant will curtail it.
POWER ISN'T MONEY
Generation is a live flow, not a bank. Split it across three rails on the Dispatch Board: sell it for Credits at a floating market price, pour it into your Wonder, or keep the city's lights on. Flood the market and the price sags. Starve the grid and you brown out. Balance is the game.
THE MARKET HAS A MIND OF ITS OWN
Demand rises and falls whether you're watching or not, and it moves what every Watt is worth. Run the battery at the Arbitrage Desk: store power while it's cheap, sell it back when it isn't. No timers, no stakes — just your read on the chart.
RAISE A WONDER
Each era is gated by one signature megaproject — the Temple of Zeus, the Nine Roads, the Great Sunbed. They're built stage by stage from routed power, gated by research, and they cost you: finishing a stage dismantles your weakest plants to feed the next one.
CLIMB THE KARDASHEV SCALE
Athens. The colonies. The whole world. Orbit. The sun. A black hole. The galaxy. Spacetime itself. Ascend and you trade your buildout for permanent multipliers, then do it all again, faster — and each age has its own sky, its own architecture, and its own cats.
MIND THE PHYSICS
Power has to be carried, not just made. Transformers and conductors set what your grid can deliver; line losses eat the rest. Outgrow your transmission cap and your generators are just expensive scenery.
BALANCE THE FEEDERS
The Works hands you a board of feeders and a handful of constraints: every row and column carries each load exactly once, and the marks between them say who outdraws whom. Solve one for Credits and a Grid Surge. Or buy Auto-Solvers and let the cats work it out.
WHILE YOU'RE AWAY
The cats keep the grid running. Come back to a full tally of what they earned — and the option to double it.
NO NONSENSE
No timers blocking your progress. No account, no sign-up, no data collection — your save lives on your device, and you can export it whenever you like. Rewarded videos are optional, and if one won't load, you get the bonus anyway.
Steal the lightning. Light the world.
