Game would be great but time limits really. just started kicking butt and time is up. Imagine any battle having a time limit on any battle give me a break. not a fan of time limits. Should have option to turn it off. Still worth playing though would like to not be so rushed.

Man people ask if this is a good alternative to the Eugen series of games such as Wargame, Steel Division, and the new Warno and I say YES! I have all of the Eugen games but have a hard time getting into them because almost all of them are focused on multiplayer and the games move so incredibly fast and require such a high degree of micromanagement that it is just a frenetic click-fest the entire time. That is not how I want to play war games. Regiments is fast paced but allows you enough time to think about and plan your tactical movements, as well as giving you a bit of breathing room if you want to zoom in and just watch a fight unfold on the map, something I believe was rarely done in similar games like this.

Overall I say this is a must buy for the Cold War gone hot RTS fans and a great alternative to similar games in the genre. My hope is that we get additional operations and campaigns as time goes on.

Overall cool game, but implementing time restrictions that cannot be turned off is, simply put, absolutely dumb and ruins the entire experience for me. Unfortunately the devs disagree and refuse to even give us the option of disabling said restrictions - in a purely single-player game that makes zero sense to me.

The Final Update is out! This one has quite a bit of changes and content and I haven't released patches in more than a year, so brace for some bugs and hotfixes in the coming days.GOG version and demo version will be updated as soon as no critical issues remain.Changelog:Added UK BG Campbell - FV-432-focused regimentAdded West German Arbeiterkampfbrigade Leipzig - FDR Rebels regiment Added Polish 30. Pułk Zmechanizowany - balanced mechanized regimentAdded East German KG "Kaspar" - mixed motorized/heliborne regimentAdded Soviet BTR-D/RD/ZD serie of vehicleAdded UK Puma HC.1 - which means UK airmobiles are now split between ATGM-heavy small platoons in Lynxes and big para platoons in PumasAdded UK FV120 MCT anti-tank vehicleAdded Polish Hibernyt AAA vehicleAdded Soviet and CSLA 2S7 Pion - only in a single Task Force per nation. Status Update on Final Patch

Hi all, long time no see!RecapIt has truly been a long time, so it's worth to recall where we've stopped. After the 1.4.5 patch back in September ’24 I promised to release the Final Update after a short rest. But frankly I was burned out after working on Regiments almost non-stop since 2016, so the hiatus went much-much longer. I had to figure out things going forward, and try out some ideas for the next project. While I'm mainly focused on said next project, it felt wrong to not give Regiments a proper send-off. After some deliberation, I've decided to focus on the promised final update.Better late than never, right?Planned ContentThis is what can definitely be expected:Several new units. Some will patch up the gaps in the existing rosters - like the BTR-D line of vehicles for VDV forces, - while others are more 'flavour' additions like the Polish Hibernyt. At least one new regimentSteam AchievementsMale announcer voice as an optionSmarter retreat logic for both transport and combat helicopter groupsMechanized infantry that have lost their transport may now reinforce the surviving squads in their platoonA wealth of balance adjustments and fixes based on the feedback received since the last patchScheduleI'm currently aiming for mid-April (but you know how these things may go).Next ProjectThere are probably a lot of questions, but the project is still in very early stages of development and it's not possible to talk much about it. It's not Regiments 2, but still tangentially related and will feature a lot of familiar hardware. That's all for now!
