I hate to give this a negative review because I do like supporting indie and solo developers (the work they do is hard to understand) but after playing this for a little while, I don't feel the desire to play it much more. It wasn't BAD and the $5 price tag is reasonable, so I wish I could give it a NEUTRAL rating.

You play as a King pawn who you can move around the map attacking enemies and changing any tile as you see fit. Farmland for food/wood, mountains for stone/iron, and also roads and buildings. Buildings spawn your citizens like farmers, soldiers, and tax collectors, etc, who all roam the map doing their own thing. Theoretically this can lead to you building a super colony of towns and castles, but the clumsy UI, baffling tutorials, and confusing focus just keeps it from being a long term game for me. Sorry.

PROS

+ Freedom to build land however you see fit
+ Virtually infinite world
+ Enemy factions and cities keeps things interesting

CONS

- Confusing, ugly interface and tutorials
- Simple graphics and audio may annoy some
- Many buildings and systems do not make sense (School --> Knowledge --> What does this affect exactly?)
- Citizen behavior seems chaotic and random making me unsure if I can optimize

Again I wish I could give it a Neutral review. For $5, I do not feel cheated or angry, but I just do not feel the desire to play it again.

Only played a few hours so far. Pretty fun game. Learning curve is a little steep with out a wiki or fandom page. In game tutorial will get you started with the basics. Easy to play hard to master kind of game. I like the graphics and the in depth management of balancing the town builds.

The ingame tutorial needs a little updating I think. Some balancing numbers would help new players get the hang of it. Like the optimized numbers of farmers to wood cutters per # of tree tiles etc...

Other then that the developer is doing really good work here.

Cons. I like the graphics personally but if your wanting something pretty then maybe this isn't the game for you. I like the simple design and easy to follow tiles.

I will update once I get a better understanding of the game.
