Fish Game is a freshwater aquarium simulator where you manage fish care, tank maintenance, and species-specific behaviors. The game abstracts away real aquarium complexity—you'll see clear indicators for feeding and water quality rather than guessing at hidden variables—making it accessible for players who want the satisfaction of fishkeeping without the physical space or trial-and-error. It appeals to both aquarium enthusiasts seeking a low-stakes sandbox and families looking for cooperative, educational gameplay.

It's a little too early to give a thumbs up. the promises are there BUT there is a heap to do. No female fish but they talk about Breeding? No heater . no filtration system, No air supply to tank, No tank lights, and the list is at the moment endless. Wait and see is all we can do.
I bought this right after watching the Smarter Every Day video. I plopped my three elementary age kids in front of the computer and told them to figure it out. That was hours ago. They not only figured it out but they are getting along and having fun!
If you have no space for real aquariums, this is the next best thing.
Pros:
Dedicated, attentive indie developer with their own Discord who's been responding promptly to questions and comments.
Fish act realistic according to species behavior.
All the fun of taking care of aquariums, but none of the hidden variables. You know when the fish are hungry, when the tank needs a water change and why a fish or plant might be stressed.
Very sandbox gameplay with tons of options and that addicting feeling of fish-hunting when you go to the many in-game shops you can unlock.
No currency systems or IRL cash shop BS. You gain EXP over time and use it to eventually unlock everything the game has to offer. EXP is gained real fast too.
Fish and plants look beautiful, yet the graphics can be easily handled by my potato computer.
THE GAME IS STILL IN DEVELOPMENT. More updates and content to come, along with bug fixes.
Cons:
Only Freshwater fish and plants. No saltwater anything.
No snails or shrimp or freshwater invertebrates, yet.
Still some bugs and kinks to work out. Regardless of what it says, this is like an early access game.
If you're super into the aqua-scaping aspect of aquariums, the options are still somewhat limited and the controls might need more work and revamping in the future. (But I'm confident the developer will do this.)
Conclusion:
If you like fish-keeping or aquariums at all, this is beyond worth it. It's a lot of fun and you'll be supporting a developer who's put a lot of work into making this one-of-a-kind game.
