Top Truck Driver is a 2D side-view driving sim with hand-drawn graphics where you navigate a truck over varied terrain. The core mechanic involves holding the accelerator while managing vehicle rotation to clear hills and valleys, though player feedback suggests the controls feel unresponsive and the level design repetitive. It appeals primarily to players seeking a very low-effort, casual driving experience, though reviews indicate the game lacks depth and polish.

Warning: Asset Flip!

Top Truck Driver is an asset flip, what Valve calls a "fake game". The "developer", Piece of Voxel/Stas Paty9mkin, took the Hill Racing Template tutorial/demo/game asset pack from the real developers, Janko Knez, changed the name, and dumped the result onto Steam. They're attempting to scam people into buying this, so they can get your money for someone else's work.

Piece of Voxel/Stas Paty9mkin has a known history of trying to scam people into paying them money for someone else's work. One example of Piece of Voxel/Stas Paty9mkin doing this is Hoples, which is really the "Pixel Adventure 1" asset, written by the actual developers, Pixel Frog.

The products that result from asset flips aren't "real" games. They lack depth and content, because they're just simplistic copies of demos or tutorials. In this case, "Hill Racing Template" is just a simple 2D mobile app tier "racing" physics platformer asset pack, and doesn't have any merit as a proper, fully fledged PC game, so a copy+paste of it can't be recommended.

Asset flips don't involve any professional game development. Sure, sometimes they may change a few cosmetic things, swap out different assets etc, but at heart it's functionally identical to the asset they're ripping off. Asset flips are an insult to both PC gamers and to professional game developers who create genuine, high quality PC games. Asset flips like this are harmful to the gaming industry and to Steam because they reduce the visibility that sincerely made indie games should have.

Don't reward this morally bankrupt, unethical behaviour from Piece of Voxel/Stas Paty9mkin.

Might as well just be called "Hold Right Arrow to Win". This was a complete chore to play. The courses are practically the same, just varying how high and low the hills and valleys are. Z/X is used to rotate your vehicle (and perform tricks, of which there are only 2) but it seemed random at best whether they actually helped me to win or not. The music stops playing when you've played a track to long without completing it and sometimes you will lose randomly (only seen 3x in the last 5 levels of the race portion). A complete ripoff at the full price of $10 and pretty much still a ripoff on a deep sale.
