UPD. For everyone who had bought it in EA phase, and got a "free digital guides". If you buy the golden pack, it will apply 20% discount only to the expansion pack. Your ownership of the digital guides does not affect anything. In fact, you will pay exactly the same amount as a new player that comes and buy a golden bundle right away.
So yep, you are paying for these digital guides even if you own them already.

DLC milk machine yet again, paid for EA more than the cost of the game on release. They already cut out 5 divs and turned them into separate DLC. Not worth it.

Bruh, AI generated voice and pictures for commanders, really? You fed us lies about all the hardwork and stuff and then just generate LAZY af AI art AND voicelines (incredibly bad too, especially for soviet generals).

Just look at this, you really could not bother at all to try to clean up this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ image after the AI?

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3253546077

UPD. I swear, some people can not read. The problem is not in the usage of the AI. The problem is in them rushing the release to DLC milk it, to the point of not caring even to clean up images after the AI.

I don't know why but the Wargame community loves to shoot themselves in the foot and will probably review bomb this game negatively out of spit because it's not perfect. It's the first day of Early Access and the game is missing a lot of features and has a lot of bugs. Who'd a thunk, right? Here's my honest thoughts on the game after having 1000+ hours in the Wargame series:

-As of right now there are only 2 divisions: 1 NATO American and 1 USSR Russian. This limits you with unit/deck building quite heavily and you don't have much choice on what units to take into battle, which is what made Wargame so much fun, but this is something you'll have to accept in Early Access. But fear not, there is nothing missing here that makes the game completely unenjoyable. But if you're expecting deck building and spending hours in the armory the game is not there yet.
-There are also only 4 or 5 maps available at the moment, but they seem to be of more than adequate quality.
-No 10v10s yet
-The only mode available is conquest. If that's a good or a bad thing that's up to you.
-No single player besides Skirmish mode. It goes without saying that there are no mod options either.
-Bugs are fairly common. Small things like units not doing what you wanted, not being able to change your name, UI bugs. But I have yet to have a crash or CTD.
-Balancing is an absolute mess that I won't get into. That's to be expected and will be a grounds for whining for many months to come.

In conclusion, if you buy this know that you're getting, AT THE CURRENT TIME, a very barebones package. This is far from a finished product. That being said, the gameplay is fantastic and you can tell this is going to be a great game once they get it sorted out. I'm having fun with it, the graphics are beautiful (Especially the special effects. Artillery looks even better now), and it's a great foundation. Now here's hoping they work hard and come out with updates and content fast enough to keep the players hooked. This is not Steel Division 3 nor is it Wargame 4, it's a game of its own. But it's a fun one. If you're a die hard fan and are itching for some more Wargame-style gaming then for 29.99 I'm fairly convinced you'll get more than your moneys worth.

MAKE SURE TO READ THE TOS.

Specifically the clause about them transferring your PII to a third party indiscriminately if sold. Especially about the part where they hold onto your information for an undisclosed amount of time. Meanwhile, I can spin up another super simple game that doesn't do that. Just by those clauses alone they're probably going to sell your data, because they always want more, and more. Never less.

I have been waiting for this to go on sale for a long time to try it, and I'm glad I took the time to read the TOS before actually putting time into it. Eugen lost a sale because of their lawyer's inability to properly define how long you hold our information. I've blindly accepted my fair share of TOS, but now that I'm taking the time to read them; I'm horrified, and would rather just not play the game, leave a bad review, and move on.

TROPIC Division #1 - 4th Marine Division

Hello commanders, Today’s DevBlog marks the very first WARNO - Tropic Storm division preview, one you eager beavers have - undoubtedly - been ‌looking forward to. We’ll start with the Western-aligned (in “NATO’s” camp) the U.S. 4th Marine Division. Oorah! The 4th Marine Division’s History First up in WARNO - Tropic Storm’s divisional roster is a rather special United States Marine Corps formation, the 4th Marine Division. This particular battlegroup had its genesis, like many other WARNO’s formations, in World War II. Raised in 1943, it fought in the Pacific Theatre, with four successful amphibious assaults to its name, including Iwo Jima. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/41657262/5203e4f483fbdac796e5ee6b657e474ad476aabd.jpg Deactivated after the war, the formation was reactivated in 1966 as a USMC reserve division (here comes the special part). Based in the United States, it served as a training formation. It provided a nucleus of training personnel and instructors for USMC reservists in peacetime, while remaining a coherent formation in its own right that could quickly deploy to war. In this capacity, the 4th Marine Division served out the remainder of the Cold War with no active deployments until a little bit after WARNO’s timeline ends with the real-life Desert Storm in 1991. It was here that the 4th Marine Division fought with distinction, proving that even though the formation might field reservists and older weaponry, it could stand on its own and fight. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/41657262/2dacc9d8989a6a63e21d3a75d6942bea3537dba9.jpg The 4th Marine Division Detailed Although the 4th Marine Division is structured along the same lines as WARNO - LANDJUT’s 2nd Marine Division, there are some notable differences. Most of the division’s personnel are USMC reservists (which we identify as USMCR in WARNO). In-game, these are on par with the Soviet Naval Infantry reservists. The USMCR units will lose the Marine’s Resolute trait, but in a positive spin, not gain the Reservist trait. New eq...

R.U.S.E. is Back With Re-Release on Steam!

R.U.S.E., the ultimate strategic experience, has returned to Steam (PC, Steam Deck) with its relaunch today. At Eugen Systems, we are thrilled to bring R.U.S.E. to a new generation of players and welcome back old veterans of our evergreen popular World War II RTS. To this day, it holds a unique position in the genre for favoring deception, strategy, and tactical wit. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/1206618/6a2bf328029558478e476d608d81eb00ad38e98d.gif While we developed and launched R.U.S.E. in 2010, the game didn’t officially belong to us. Sidelined due to distribution constraints, we could do nothing in the subsequent years to help the players who contacted us for assistance or tried to obtain the game. Recently, we received the opportunity to return R.U.S.E. to our catalog. This allowed us to re-release this pillar of the RTS genre, with some added extras! {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/1206618/c0ceea31866f21b9cd48ae121ff89ee1be6e3512.png Players who previously purchased R.U.S.E. on Steam before it was delisted will keep full access to the title, including all technical updates and all DLCs at no additional cost. We are also proud to confirm that R.U.S.E. is now fully compatible with Steam Deck. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/1206618/3b3d988f6aa04e59bffb6e6b353e9e7c2449fe07.gif As a reminder, R.U.S.E. in a few words: Play Anywhere + All DLCs included: this version is fully compatible with the Steam Deck and includes all DLCs released to date for free. Strategy Over Speed: Forget "click-racing." Success in R.U.S.E. comes from strategy, initiative, unit mastery, and a general’s ability to bluff and deceive their opponents. Complete RTS Gameplay: Experience classic RTS mechanics, including resource management, base building, tech trees, and unit production. WWII Authenticity: Command the major powers to battle - USA, Germany, UK, France, Italy, USSR, and Japan. Each faction features historically accurate equipment and late-war prototypes. Epic Campaign: Fight through the iconic operations of WWII in a r...

Tropic Storm Reveal!

Hello commanders! As teased in last week’s DevBlog, the moment has come to reveal the next major expansion of your favorite Cold War-gone-hot RTS… WARNO - Tropic Storm! That’s right: like a hurricane, World War III expands to the tropical locales of Latin America and the Caribbean Basin in this upcoming expansion. In today’s DevBlog, we’ll start with the basic outline of the expansion, its features, and the alternative history behind WARNO - Tropic Storm. Later posts will dive deep into all the new divisions. Let’s go! WARNO - Tropic Storm in Brief WARNO - Tropic Storm will give you access to 6 new divisions from this brand-new theater of operations, including 4 new nations, and a host of new units, models, weapons, new terrain sets and maps, and more. And equally important: it will contain 1 new Army General campaign. More details to follow! {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/41657262/6f7ec8a23d45397f3786f239c81cf27bad69158f.jpg Now, originally, the WARNO - Tropic Storm expansion was planned to come later down the production pipeline, but as so often in recent years, real life overtakes the fiction at an alarming pace. We’ve fast-tracked the development due to the US administration’s military actions in Venezuela not too long ago, thinking we would be right on the ball with the world’s next hot spot. But then, it moved to Greenland, and now Iran… {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/41657262/31f6d16bf2f628d010e0e85631e464b30f471f36.jpg Regardless, our decision still stands, and we are hard at work on getting WARNO - Tropic Storm into your hands. Now, more on the context and our (alternative) history below, plus a sneak peek into the new environments you’ll get to play with. Don’t let the palm tree-lined beaches and turquoise seas beguile you… {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/41657262/f44e5319d08d5f99a54b539121e9ad8aeab4b301.jpg How WARNO - Tropic Storm Came to Be So, how did WARNO’s World War III arrive on Latin America’s doorsteps? We took inspiration from two real-life events to craft our alternative timeline,...
