Any Fish is a match-3 puzzle game where you swap and align fish tiles to clear the board and accumulate points. The game uses a drag-and-drop mechanic to create matches and collect jelly rewards. It's a straightforward entry in the match-3 genre, best suited for players seeking casual, low-pressure puzzle gameplay.

Too basic, the same as Any Candy, only with different sprites and without real optimisation. At least this one exits correctly.

Warning: Asset Flip!

Any Fish is an asset flip, what Valve calls a "fake game". The "developer", freeanygame/hellydevelop/anyfreemore/halloweenreborn/anyfreegame/Awesome Deveelop/freeanywhere/hellydev, took the Jelly Match 3 tutorial/demo/game asset pack from the real developers, Muscle-SS, changed the name, and dumped the result onto Steam. They're attempting to scam people into buying this, so they can get your money for someone else's work.

It gets worse... "Jelly Match 3" has also been shamelessly dumped on Steam by this guy using alt accounts:

Take a look for yourself... these are all exactly the same game!

They're released through this guys considerable array of sockpuppet Steam accounts (created to attempt to hide his trail and further mislead gamers about his asset flip scamming and unethical activities):

  • freeanygame
  • hellydevelop
  • anyfreemore
  • halloweenreborn
  • anyfreegame
  • Awesome Deveelop
  • freeanywhere
  • hellydev
  • matchdev23
  • anyccledev

All the same guy.

An important note: This guy is a known asset flipper and has previously taken other developers work and put it on Steam in an attempt to scam gamers and get paid for someone else's effort. He's shown a repeated pattern of trying to scam gamers, here are some examples of other asset flip scams they've pulled:

The products that result from asset flips aren't "real" games. They lack depth and content, because they're just simplistic copies of demos or tutorials. In this case, "Any Fish" is just a simple Construct/HTML5 mobile app match-3 game template, and doesn't have any merit as a proper, fully fledged PC game, so a copy+paste of it can't be recommended.

Asset flips don't involve any professional game development. Sure, sometimes they may change a few cosmetic things, swap out different assets etc, but at heart it's functionally identical to the asset they're ripping off.

Asset flips like this are harmful to the gaming industry and to Steam because they reduce the visibility that sincerely made indie games should have, and make it harder for gamers to find real games from genuine developers.

Don't reward this morally bankrupt, unethical behaviour from freeanygame/hellydevelop/anyfreemore/halloweenreborn/anyfreegame/Awesome Deveelop/freeanywhere/hellydev.
