I hate to give this a thumbs down because the developers and players are clearly very enthusiastic about it, and it's cool that this started a text game on IRC. I've played games like this before and I enjoyed them even though I got totally wrecked. The character classes are cool and the tutorial was simple enough.

But for some reason, my mind is rejecting this game. There's just no motivation or enjoyment. It's possible that I dislike the interface/art style, or that it's too complicated and I failed to take the time to learn it properly. I can't recommend something that I'm unwilling to play myself.

So I opened the chat window and saw this:

There's also a notification in-game that suggests joining a player alliance and the Discord server for a better experience.

the game has about 10 players total. there are an absurd amount of AIs and a lot of potential.

Unfortunately... the developer gives special benefits to the older players to where new players get steamrolled. Every "age" it resets, but if you arent familiar with the higher ups you just get left with nothing. the dev does help with questions you have, but theres not a good way to learn everything you need to know.

The AIs are extremely challenging and ruthless, the minute you attack anything (even if not them) you get brutally attacked by all AIs in a split second. no way to defend, and no way to retaliate and earn back what you lost.

Due to this, i spent weeks just slowly and gradually gathering loot and exp... but somehow was still killed while i was "protected until level 4"... i was level 3 and was instantly killed because as the other players explained "i was bit by a vampire and burst into flames"... i've never heard of that anywhere in vampiric lore, and realized later it was a glitch that was abused by the veteran players, and not fixed by the developer. This game is not worth your time, and the developer did not listen to me aside from my quotes i implemented into the game.

the game might have technically been out for about 30 years... but with an empty community it ruins the point of it.

There are much better RTS games to try instead of this one.
