Movie Night lets you create a shared virtual cinema where you and friends watch YouTube videos in sync, hanging out together online. The early access experience is straightforward but bare-bones, with players requesting quality-of-life additions like seated viewing modes and better video queueing. It's ideal for casual group hangouts if you can tolerate some rough edges.

It's a good idea, however it would be nice to add a feature to sit down, or to lock on to the screen so that it's all you can see. Also I'm not sure if I just completely missed it or if there isn't a list of controls, but there should be if there isn't one. It is early access AND a free game, so it makes sense that it is a little bare bones right now, but it's good for what it is, a relatively easy way to watch YouTube videos with friends.
Here are some features that I would like to see added at some point: -support of non-YouTube platforms such as Netflix, Hulu, Crunchyroll, etc. -the ability to pause a video, rewind, or skip ahead -control over the lights in the room, like dimming, turning them off, or maybe even changing the color(s) -some sort of voice and/or text chat -ability to queue up videos and a vote to skip to the next video -making so a video isn't stretched to fit the screen if it isn't supposed to be (like an upright video taken on a phone) -ability to interact with stuff in the lobby like popcorn and soda, to hold them and throw them just for fun -ability to walk between the rows of seats

Good idea, however, we should have the ability to sit down, admin control of the lighting of the room etc

Update 2: Unable to paste link into bar to que video, and it keeps clicking off When making my own server it seems to que video from previous server so that seems to be the problem, although I'm the server host when trying to que video(s)
Were back again with another update for Movie Night. This time round were focusing on fixing and polishing the game rather than bringing more content. Remember you can join the discord to get the latest info in the community and play with others :) LINUX SUPPORT Thats right its finally here... Linux support. Its taken a while but were confident with this first build for linux it will be a game changer as we can now focus on bringing in steamdeck support which will be coming soon. This is a hotfix patch for update 0.88 it doesnt add any new content however does fix the video player and hosting issues. Im sorry for the length of time it has taken for this update but im sure you can appreciate this hasnt been an easy task. As youtube continues to change what they allow and how they serve content issues will come up such as this which require time to fix and it is out of my control.
