Take a get-away to East Africa where the wild beasts roam such as leopards, elephants and giraffes. Photograph the wildlife, find collectables or chill at your own personal safari lodge.
Gameplay & Settings
One thing I did not expect was how you traverse this game. I initially thought you walked around taking pictures but instead you fast travel to different locations and zoom in on objects and animals to interact with them. So it is not a walking sim, more of a point-and-click. I love visiting the lodge and wish we could sit by the fireplace rather than just look at the room. You can do puzzles and even customize your own puzzle (through an upgrade in-game). You can also pet the cat Paka and change their appearance and buy them accessories. Every time you visit the lodge you can pet them to gain friendship status (5 pets before a 3 minute cool down). The animals are wonderful, they are animated to behave life-like (and the sounds are great too), there are lots of options for taking unique photos with upgrades you can buy for your camera (like lighting and extra filters). You can change the time of day (level 5) and weather (level 10) to suit your mood. Unlocking everything will take a lot of time as everything, for the most part, has to be unlocked with earned in-game credits. There are daily tasks and jobs to take on that will earn you credits and more reputation as a photographer. However this is not a game that will be complete in one session, most likely quite a few if you want to level up and unlock everything. ✨Every time you complete a full list of objectives don’t forget to claim your special unlockable at the top of the list (right hand side). https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3667900085 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3668047996 Settings & extras include; display options (mode, resolution, framerate, VSync, graphics quality), audio controls, gameplay options such as time display and time progression speed and controls (look sensitivity, cursor speed, invert options and rebinding options).
Overall Experience
This is a game you go back to when you're stressed or feel like getting away for a bit. It is extremely relaxing and beautiful to watch and photograph the animals. The in-game music offers three soundtracks that are all soothing. I would recommend this game on sale (in time in might become repetative) and the in game unlockables will take quite some time to complete. 🐘

Follow IndieGems for more reviews like this one. although the premise of this game is super simple, i can say with absolute certainty that it was such a lovely surprise and the experience really caught me off guard!! basically the goal is to keep photographing animals in their natural habitats in africa, and as you take photos and complete progress missions you earn more money and unlock new places to photograph more species of birds, mammals and reptiles. i honestly loved it so much, anyone who loves nature needs to play Seclusa immediately! it’s a perfect treat for those who love animals and the environment, for anyone who feels joy and loses track of time just watching these majestic creatures and exploring every little corner of each scenery!! also in every location you can sleep and observe the animals at different times, and there are some that only appear in the morning, others in the afternoon, others at night and even late at night, there are always new surprises depending on the time and the weather. it’s an amazing game and totally worth full price if you just want to relax and spend time appreciating the beauty of nature without worrying about anything else and forgetting about life’s problems!!

Seclusa is relaxing photography game with daily tasks, photography jobs, collecting cards, and jigsaw puzzles. A game you can return to for some down time to enjoy a serene landscape with time and weather adjustments available.
Gameplay
Sadly you cannot walk around but that does not stop the game from being enjoyable. You are at a fixed location where you can click an animal to photograph, stand, or sit in a chair and enjoy the view. Once targeting an animal you do have some freedom with your drone to move in directions around them. You earn experience and credits from most things you do which lets you buy more customization options like camera filters, cat fur variations, cat hats, new jigsaw puzzles, refreshments for your table that you can interact with. and lastly card packs to fill out your card collection. Jobs
Your primary means to currency and experience. You start with 1 available to photograph a specific animal. After completing, it's 3 minutes to see a new one. You can also press X to change your task and from what I could see did not have a cost. Making the money pretty easy to flow. Over time you will unlock up to 4 jobs based off Reputation earned and they will start to have specific conditions, weather, time of day, or a specific filter like Studio Lighting or Black and White.
The Lodge
This is your home space where you can do jigsaw puzzles, water your plants and initially where you will need to pet Paca to earn love. Completing all the tasks under each Objective earns a special reward which you will also be able to interact with in this space. Additional Games to play in The Lodge was a nice surprise. There are 9 Jigsaw puzzles available and the 9th allows you to use any of your photos. Then from completing all the tasks for the Photography objective your rewards are 2 labyrinth puzzles. Then completing tasks for the Cards objective rewards a memory matching game with four levels.
Paca
Is your precious furbaby to love. You can pet them 5 times every 3 minutes to fill their hearts. And once maxed Paca will come to locations with you and sit in your camp being cute. Achievement for photographing him as well.
Card Collection
There are 184 cards to collect and you buy Packs with 3 in each. The packs come in Standard, Deluxe and Premium increasing rarity value with a higher cost to purchase. You also earn Trade Points from opening card packs and they can be traded for a random card shown on the card shop next to the packs. You can pay with Credits to Refresh it for another choice. And you can exchange 1 point for 50 credits, but I don't suggest it given how easily you earn money.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3668107783
Features
There are 7 locations with animals and The Lodge which is your home space where you can do other activities. You can freely travel between them once unlocked and this will cause the animals to change which helps with Jobs. Camera
Your camera is not just a standard screenshot, you get a variety of functions to zoom, sharpen, filter, freeze time, slow it and move the view around before you take the shot. The filters are all purchased with the Credits earned from Jobs.
Weather
The weather cannot be changed until level 10, you just have to swap to/from location until you meet that requirement if its needed for a Job. However the time of day you can adjust the slider to a specific time and guesstimate Dawn, Dusk, Evening, etc. But you can spend 200 credits for each specific one to just click and go.
Summons
Once you have a three star ★★★ card of an animal you can Summon it from the Compendium. It is at the bottom center. Adding this in because I didn't even notice it, and thought other's may not as well.
Rare Animals
There are also 5 rare variations to pick up. You can just keep bouncing between two locations until you see it. They will have sparkles at the bottom center of the screen and you can click it to go right to them.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3667844813
For my achievement hunter & completion friends
Daily Tasks will be the longest taking 8 real life days for those who play legit. So far it's been 4 daily tasks to complete daily.
Developer replied to someone that there is the system clock to negate the wait but for those who don't know & may care, universal achievement hunting rules frown on system clock usage.
Next is most likely maxing level 25. Prior to what I thought when originally posting, the card collection completed pretty quickly. And will likely come with ease from just earning experience towards max level. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3668105390
If it helps anyone with time to complete
After 8 hours, without focusing on completion I was at level 14 and realized I had enough credits to buy all the items. This includes puzzles, refreshments, cat hats, furs, and camera upgrades. Still having 15k left. This left 5 of the 7 objectives finished. Those being Jobs, Campsites, The Lodge, Paka and while typing this realized I should finish Cards (10k spent buying packs.) This set me at 38/48 achievements. The remaining two objectives, Photography and Global together have 5 tasks left. And the achievements left are related to those as well minus the one to finish all jigsaw puzzles once.
Bye.
ːpaw_waveː Secluse was gifted to me from a sweet friend. Many thanks for the kindness.ːthreeheartsː Thanks to War Bear for the assist on Summon. Apparently I am blind. ːDː
