Hello everyone! Hope everyone is good! It was few months since I have released version 2.1. I wasn't able to do much but there are still some new stuff and bug fixes. This is basically a hotfix for some annoying bugs that were reported. Hello everyone! It has been around two months since the release of TaskPals 2.0. I have been fixing bugs reported in the Steam Discussions and the Discord bug report channel. If you find or think something is a Bug, feel free to post it in Discussions or on Discord, your help is very appreciated! Bug fixes Fixed Pals glitching in the air if their behavior was changed while they were falling. Added a green border to the selected Pal’s icon in the menu to improve visibility. Added an icon to the menu window. The app should now be hidden from Discord's "Stream Screen." Some tooltips had their last letter cut off. The stacked monitors issue has been fixed. New features A new option, "Force Border," is now available. Many users didn’t like how Pals could move beyond their borders. With this option enabled, they will not leave the border zone on their own. If you take them out, they will immediately return. A new option, "Display Settings," is now available. Here, you can disable certain screens that you don’t use or that overlap with others. If you have multiple screens, disabling the ones you don’t use can also improve the app’s performance. Note: You cannot drag Pals across disabled screens. Plans for the future Localization is something I have been working on and should be released in the next couple of months. A tutorial for new users. Performance optimizations. Different rendering options depending on the Pal’s drawing style. Pal competitions. Final words The next update will definitely include improvements to optimization and rendering. Hello everyone! The new version with long-awaited changes is finally here! Here’s a list of the most important updates: Workshop support and editor: You can now download user-created Pals from the Steam Workshop or create your own directly within the TaskPals app. Multiscreen support: If you have multiple monitors, you can move Pals seamlessly between screens. Reworked interaction system: You can now drag and throw Pals around your screen with the left click, and pet them with the right click. (Note: heart particles have been removed.) New user interface: A fresh look to enhance your experience. As I have limited hardware and knowledge, there might be things I’ve overlooked. I kindly ask for your patience with any bugs you encounter, and I’ll do my best to address them as soon as possible. Plans for the future New tutorial: A detailed guide on how to use TaskPals and create new Pals. Pal competitions: I’m planning to organize a few competitions to showcase the best user-created Pals. Performance optimizations: I’m currently testing a new rendering method for TaskPals. While it’s an improvement, I’m still not satisfied with the resource usage. Further optimization is a priority. Modular behaviors: I’m exploring the idea of adding customizable behavior options for Pals during creation.
