A hidden-object game where you search apartments and houses to locate cats tucked into unlikely spots—under cushions, inside drawers, behind toilets. You'll need to click precisely on hiding places to flush out all the felines in each room. Best suited for players who enjoy casual, low-pressure exploration and don't mind finicky hitboxes.

I don't know what to say about this game. It is almost an exact copy of A Building Full of Cats created by my favorite creators, the Devcats. I don't know if I should report this game or not. It is simple and cute, but it needs more polishing and a bit more game winning / start screen going. You'll see what I mean when you play the game. I will go see the second game. Hope this dev isn't a thief or I'll inform the Devcats about it.

This is a less charming clone of the DevCats games called "A Building Full of Cats" and the like. The art style is extremely similar, the entire premise is absolutely identical (but with fewer / no actual mechanics involved), and the vibe overall is just a complete clone. This game is also just as frustrating as it is fun because of how *specific* your clicks have to be sometimes. You'll stare at a level for an eternity only to use a hint and realize the cat was in the lamp you already clicked on fifteen times, you just didn't click on that small smudge that is apparently the on/off switch for the lamp! Avoid, even on sale. Don't make my mistake; don't support thieves.

ONCE A KNOCKOFF ALWAYS A KNOCKOFF

I couldn't get this game to work at first. Unlike the first and third games, this game required me to configure the settings via a popup window. It froze up on me several times until I finally chose windowed Mode and lowered the screen resolution, so I'm assuming this one isn't compatible with larger screen monitors.

With that being said, I stumbled across this series and purchased the entire bundle because it looked similar to one of my favorite games, A Building Full of Cats. In fact, they are identical in EVERY way, down to the same font and a very close title! They even had the cat balls to add a rooftop section, the same feature available in the original A Building Full of Cats where you adopt Fofino.

They are so identical; even the artwork and features are similar. Instead of an elevator to stop at 5 floors, you enter 5 different houses. You enter the bathroom exactly as in A Building Full of Cats; they even have the same icon that tells you how many Cats & Hidden Cats there are.

I noticed that the developer stated

"During the development of this game, we were motivated by the game "A Building Full of Cats".

Admiring someone's work can be a great inspiration, but when all you do is copy someone's creative genius, doesn't that cross a line morally? (maybe even legally?) It's okay to create a  similar game, but you have to add features that are original to make the game your own!

I just think the credit should go to the developer of A Building Full of Cats because they are the creative geniuses here.

Game redesign!

1263 days ago
In this update, we have completely replaced the design with a new one (Main menu has completely changed. Landings have been removed). Now, instead of a multi-storey building, small houses are used. We apologize to everyone who did not like that it was very similar to the game "A Building Full of Cats" . We did not try to deceive or offend anyone. We just really liked the idea. We personally apologize to the developers of the "Devcats" studio.

Posts come from Steam's official announcements feed.
