I played this game with my boyfriend, and it was a fun way to have some casual gaming sessions with controllers. As foosball fans in real life, we found the game to be a decent adaptation.

📝Story/Plot without spoilers:

🔸 Spinshot Party doesn’t have a traditional storyline, but it captures the excitement of a real-life foosball game. The main appeal is its gameplay and the social interaction it brings. Whether you are playing solo or with friends, the game provides a lively and competitive atmosphere.

🎮Gameplay:

🔸 Spinshot Party offers intuitive controls that challenge your hand-eye coordination. The game is easy to pick up but hard to master, making it accessible for players of all skill levels. You can play solo or with up to three friends, either locally or using Steam Remote Play. The real fun comes from playing with friends on-site, where the shouting and friendly shoving make the experience more immersive.

------🔹 The game replicates the fast-paced nature of foosball well. You control the rods to move your players, spin them to kick the ball, and try to score goals against your opponent. The controls are responsive, and the game captures the frantic action of a real foosball match. There are various table types, defender rows, mannequin setup and game modes.

------🔹 The best experience is with multiple players, where you can really get into the competitive spirit. Playing with controllers is mandatory, giving a tactile feel that’s similar to playing on a real foosball table. The game is perfect for parties and casual gaming sessions.

📷Graphics:

🔸 I loved the graphics, perfectly suited for the type of game Spinshot Party aims to be. They look clean, and the straightforward design helps keep the focus on the fast-paced gameplay. The animations are smooth, and the overall presentation is polished.

📝Main Pros and Cons:

🟩Pros-

Fun and engaging gameplay
Easy to learn, hard to master
Great for local multiplayer and parties
Decent variety of customisation

🟥Cons-

Can get repetitive

😇Verdict:

🔸 Spinshot Party is a solid adaptation of foosball that brings friends and family together for some casual fun. Its engaging gameplay and social interaction make it a worthwhile addition to your party game collection. Recommended for foosball lovers.

Okay, it's a nice first game on Steam by the developer, but sadly I cannot recommend this as it is on launch day.

https://youtu.be/1-ODp29jQ8E

The mechanics are well done and it feels like a solid Foosball game.

The problems for me here are:

A) The game doesn't offer legitimate ONLINE play against friends. In a game like this, Steams 'Remote Play Together" just doesn't cut it. The lag will affect the connecting play big-time and make a really unfair game most of the time. Dev.. also by making a true online competitive mode, you'd sell more copies of this game because every player would need by own their own copy of this game, JS

B) Why in the hell is there no AI so that someone can play against the AI? Not only do I suggest making an AI for this game, I recommend having at least 3 or 4 different levels of AI so that solo players can customize the AI to fit their skill level.

The $8 USD asking price would be fair in my opinion... IF both A and B above were added to this game. As it is now, as much as I want to like it, I just can't recommend this.

Note to the Developer: Make the changes above, and I'll be more than happy to re-review the game and likely change this review to a positive review!

NOT RECOMMENDED. *sad face*. I really want to recommend this but no.

Super fun couch game with precise controls. Spent a lot of time play testing it and the games were always fun.
Very convenient to create a small tournament during your parties at your place ! You always want to play an other game to challenge your friends.
I recommend it.

Update: AI Assisted Rod Control Mode! 🎉 I am excited to announce a brand-new way to play Spinshot Party—perfect for those who want to kick back and enjoy the game without the need for complex controls! 🎮 ⚽ Introducing: AI Assisted Rod Control Mode! ⚽ Now, Spinshot Party can be played even more casually, making it perfect for friends and family who aren’t familiar with gamepads! With our new AI-Assisted mode, players no longer need to manually control the rods. Here’s how it works: At the controller setup, simply press the Y-Button to toggle through the various control modes. Select AI Assisted and let the magic happen! 🪄 In this mode, the PC will handle the rod movement for you, so all you need to focus on is kicking the ball with the trigger buttons. 🎯 If you want to make some fine adjustments to the rods, you can still do so using the analog sticks, but it’s totally optional. What Does This Mean? 🤔 Even More Casual Fun: Perfect for relaxed gaming sessions. No More Multitasking: Focus on the fun, not the controls! I hope you enjoy this new mode and can’t wait to hear your feedback. Happy Kicking! ⚽ {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44741371/b8e44e15ebfd8c6f6d1cf0fd0381d179221311a2.png

Some small convenience things: Being Idle for 20s in the main menus will trigger an AI vs AI match just for watching. It will use the current game settings AI looks less robotic. The rods that are further away from the ball wont get updated as frequent as before. Hard AI to be slightly less hard. Decreased some values that ware just too inhuman.

You asked for it, and here it is! ⚽ Introducing the new Steady Rod Modes! Unlike the 1:1 Control mode, the Steady modes do not snap the rod back to the center when you release the analog stick. This mode is now the default setting when you start the game. Here are the new settings available for each player: Steady Slow Steady Med Steady Fast Steady 1:1 Control The default setting is Steady Med with a sensitivity of 6. Steady Slow has a sensitivity of 3, and Steady Fast has a sensitivity of 12. For those who like to customize their experience, these values can be tweaked in the USER/settings_user.xml file. 🤓 {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44741371/ea29598783f3a1c8f714ad329f49a16514c80096.jpg
