This is only a part of a game and not complete.
Just as things were picking up and getting interesting you get hit with a, "To be Continued..." and the credits roll. I paid full price, almost $20 Canadian, and was sold a full game.
It had great moments, wonderfully fitting music, and I can tell the passion put into it by the solo developer.
The setting and story is interesting and unique, but if you were expecting a full game here, beware.
My honest hope is the developer will put out an update and complete The Mine.
If that happens, I would gladly change my review to positive and support this developer further.

The Mine would work as the start of a larger adventure game, its puzzles sound if simple and the alternate problem solving paths an interesting approach to designing progression, but unfortunately the game ends before it really had a chance to get going. Seeing “TO BE CONTINUED” almost right as a larger plot is starting sucks the energy out of an experience that already didn’t have much going for it. A moody introduction to the mine itself is a standout moment to be sure, but puttering around town doing small interactions isn’t compelling enough to make up the entirety of this small point and click adventure.

This is an fun and enjoyable point and click game set in 17th-century Sweden.
You start like an guy called "miner", waking up from an horrible nightmare.
You find out that something is alittle odd, and trying to figure out what is going on, in this little town.
This game get an big YES from me!
Thanks for letting me test this gem of an game.

Hello Miners,It’s been about 1.5 years since my last update here. During this time I’ve been busy with other projects, but the story of the miner in The Mine has never really left my mind.Lately, I’ve been wondering: should the story continue? I’ve been considering the idea of a Part 2 that could bring the narrative to a proper conclusion. If it happens, my plan would be to release it as a free update for everyone who owns the game, adding about 2 - 3 hours of additional gameplay. But before making any decisions, I want to hear from you:Would you be interested in a continuation? What would you like to see in it? (storylines, mysteries, features, anything at all)Your thoughts will play a big part in whether I take this forward.Meanwhile, the game is now available at 80% off on Steam! 🍁Best, Fredrik
Bug Fixes: Fixed an issue where a regular of the pub wouldn't give his approval to the player Fixed an issue with the turnip puzzle Minor tweaks and improvements to the Steam achievements
Exciting news for all miners! I can now announce that my Steam achievements for 'The Mine' are completed and ready for you to experience. There are 26 achievements in total, and although their names might hint at their challenges, I believe discovering how to achieve them will be part of the adventure. I have made minor tweaks to the gameplay to make the achievement more fun and fitting. This update also includes more bug fixes, aiming to make your gameplay experience even smoother. As for the future of the game, including the story's conclusion and the possibility of adding new content or a Part 2. My decision will be based on players interests to make it happen, my current commitments and other factors outside my control, such as work obligations and managing all other responsibilities. While I'm considering the possibility of making this new content available for free for everyone who has already bought the game or considering to do so in the future, I want to keep expectations realistic and avoid making any promises at this stage. I hope you enjoy this update and encourage you to take it easy down in the mine! Best // Fredrik
