House of Jigsaw: Happy puzzling, Happy home

Found this on its release date and I feel obliged to say something.

It's really agonizingly close to being what I suspect would be the best thing of its kind available in terms of user experience and the degree of control you have over how you want to take your puzzle. You can choose from many different piece counts and several different shapes of pieces. You can start with edge pieces already set aside (if you're using distinctive edge pieces at all) or toggle whether any piece will need to be rotated to fit. The sounds are pretty nice and, as seen in the promo material, you have ample capacity to feel around an zoom in and out.

That alone makes it worth its weight in kilobytes—ALMOST! I definitely can't recommend it OVER something like Tabletop Simulator which (not to mention countless other functions) allows you to puzzle with friends and apply your own ridiculous image to the thing. And, of course, the day one dlc model on offer here is enormously disappointing. It's literally just more pictures. Not even laser cut prints thoughtfully shipped and packaged: they want to sell you bundles of like seven or eight more digital puzzle pictures on a theme. No way, man. It's gotta be better.
