The art and general production values are probably the best I've seen in a non-Japanese visual novel. The developers used UE4 rather than one of the off-the-shelf VN engines. I'm assuming they did that in order to add background animation, character animation, and short movies, which are all tasteful and effective without being distracting.
The worldbuilding is great, mixing elements from Stalker, star wars-style space opera, and espionage. There's a tiny bit of body horror but it's otherwise generally pretty upbeat in tone.
English translation is good. There are a few places with phrasing that might indicate it was translated from Russian, but everything reads well and I didn't notice any outright grammatical errors. Honestly better than most native English VNs in that regard.
The characters all have distinctive personalities and the voice acting is endearing (I played with the Russian voices). The alien character designs are anthropomorphic but not generically "furry" art. There's one scene with slightly risque outfits but nothing explicit.
I don't have any relation to the developers. They were super responsive when I encountered a language settings issue (turned out to be due to loading a save file from the demo into the regular game) and they pushed an update to fix it within a day.
Honestly the only downside is I wish the rest of the planned followup games were completed. The story has a very high branching factor for its length (16 endings), and there's a lot of depth there, but there isn't a completed story arc, aside from the "bad" ends. I feel like I got my money's worth, but hope the devs are able to continue with the world and characters.
