Staring Contest is a minimal competitive game where you face off against opponents in a battle of willpower, clicking to win once they blink first. The humor-driven premise and straightforward mechanics make it suitable for quick casual sessions, though technical issues and resource concerns limit its long-term appeal.

Very funny and entertaining game. Good features, interesting gameplay. Short casual game, bang for the buck.

Update: changing from recommended to not recommended. The game uses too many resources and there's been suggestions in the discussion about "miner". Also, the game has a broken final achievement that still hasn't been fixed.

Silly game for a laugh or two, but it quickly loses its purpose.

The gameplay is as simple as it can be. As soon as your opponent blinks, all you have to do is click the bell. Simply choose one of the seven opponents and play a round.

Father and son are the first two. While the father begins to blink immediately, the son manages to fully demonstrate what the game is all about. He will continue to stare until his eyes turn red, and it will only be a matter of time before he gives up. However, this is a casual game. The most important thing to remember is that you cannot lose unless you press the "give up" button. You can keep slamming the bell and win every time.

However, this only applies to the first two. The fun comes from unusual opponents and ridiculous ways to defeat them. Good luck convincing a stone or potato to blink. That is why you must be creative with your clicking on the screen. Sadly, the game doesn’t have a lot to offer, most of the time you just need to wait. You’ll probably go for the achievements and quickly move on to the next game. Well, maybe not that quick. The last opponent can't hold it for a very long time.
