The game play loop is pretty basic, but surprisingly fun and kinda satisfying. The single player has 2 modes: Score attack (solo high score play), and Battle (pits you against 3 AI). The multiplayer is local only, and is 2-4 players, but the slots that aren't humans are just replaced by AI, meaning it's always 4 players total. There is technically a third mode called Ranking, but it's literally just telling you your local and global ranking.
For 3 dollars, I think it's a fun little game. My only initial complaints are that there is a small amount of voice over only in Japanese which is fun, but if you switch to it, it changes the voices and all text to Japanese sadly - I wish they would separate the voice overs and text into different options so I could keep the JP voices. Also, a minor complaint, but there is not an exit game option in the menu. So if you're in full screen mode, you have to close the game from your desktop.
Overall it's kinda one note, but pretty fun.
