Snowpult combines tower-defense mechanics with catapult-based physics puzzles, tasking you to seal encroaching wormholes by launching projectiles with escalating absurdity. The game layers strategic positioning and timing challenges with whimsical flavor, rewarding high scores and creative destruction. It appeals to players seeking lighthearted strategy that doesn't take itself seriously while maintaining genuine tactical depth.
About this game
Snowpult is a Cozy strategy with a mad dash of ice cold humour, Close wormholes that threaten to tear open space by using the trusty catapult, Sling anything from giant snowballs to titantium ball bearings which definitely don't conceal immortal snails and rack up high scores.
It's been a while since I last gave an update on what I've been doing and it's been a busy few months indeed! Snowpult is now everything I had wanted, it originally started as a personal project, I made what became Snowpult as a 7 day challenge and it exploded in scope from there during development in the months following into the game it is today. Pulsar which followed was a similar situation, I wanted to learn all of the processes and skills needed as a solo developer to publish a game, improve on it based on player feedback and everything else in between. Pulsar and Snowpult suffered from one problem, they were limited by how they were started and that's where Warbound comes in. Warbound was not born from a personal challenge or aimed towards skill building but is something entirely new. So what is Warbound? {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44798401/615dc0c446e46fa4b758ba143bc4bcc2d0733e6b.jpg Warbound is a strategy game which combines roguelike aspects with side scroller mechanics with a pinch of turret defense. If you've ever played games such as Age of War or Halo Wars you'll be familiar with some of the games ideology and Warbound combines the tech tier upgrades of games like Age of War with the strategy of conventional RTS games to create something new. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44798401/2dc2aed93eb544c1add580ac4b0becf0dedd452c.jpg I'm planning to begin playtests in the upcoming months to give players some insight into the game and also gather feedback on what works well and most importantly what does not, Warbound is also aimed at being supported on Steam Deck so it will be a game which players can play whilst on the go.
It's been a while hasn't it? With this update I'm excited to announce that Snowpult has now gone through the first pass of localization with a planned support of the following: English German Simplified Chinese Japanese Korean Brazillian portuguese Russian Nearly 1200 words per language translated and with NextFest coming up next month, Snowpults Demo is now better than ever. Once localization is complete I'm moving towards a final visual pass making sure the art, the scenes and gameplay are all tuned and ready for public release next month and that includes going through all 9 maps!
Hey there! It's been a while hasn't it? Today I'm happy to announce the latest update for the demo of Snowpult has been released into the wild and with it comes a tranche of improvements and features. To get right into the skinny of the details this update includes: Improvements Improved UI with issues in the menus resolved. New Idler mode - plays the game with a slightly lower score reward Coins! As you play you'll find some targets will instead be coins that in the final release are used to unlock content such as cosmetics, new maps and even score modifiers. Some of these modifiers may come as alternative versions of maps where inclement weather can either help or hinder you. Music - In the first demo build I had included a single track that was used for setting a theme but in the time since I have been working to create more tracks with a somewhat different tone that is closer to the original intent for the game. Improve stability - I have been going through a heavy optimization pass in recent weeks which have led to some pretty major improvements in game performance and some of them have been in some novel areas... New visuals, all of the maps have had some major reforms to their art and there has been a renewed attention to the VFX of the game. Birds....?! As we all know birds aren't real but what if they are? Easter eggs ahoy! On note of the improved stability, I am also working on seeing how feasible it would be to support cross platform purchases, During the optization passes I've also been getting the game stable on mobile, specifically Android. Now I can't make any promises right now but one of my goals is to see if I can make it so if you buy a copy of snowpult on steam you get access to it on Android and same in reverse. I'm working on all this by myself so if there are other developers who are able to point me in the right direction for this, that would be massively appreciated. As always, I want to hear from you all about what plays well, what people d...
