This is an Early Access title that has a strange charm to it. Reminiscent of late 90s video games—with uncanny CGI—Tarot Realms taps into the untouched esoteric market on steam.

It reminds me of an old NES game that you find in the attic of your grandparent's house. Though currently a bit bare bones and more akin to a demo with promise for the future, the game currently offers 3 card spreads, detailed information regarding the card, and Kabbalistic references to the cards themselves in the foreground which I found interesting.

The goals for this project are outlined in the description and sound promising. Costs less than a big mac meal at McDonalds so it's certainly reasonably priced for what it is. I hope to see it succeed in the future.

At the moment there is nothing to recommend, you choose 3 cards, they are interpreted but thats it, unless you are into the Tarot and its meanings. There are no instructions, no help button and no exit button let alone a save button at this stage, which is really far too little for a game that is supposed to be early access! My first run through took 8 minutes.
So, basically how you view this will depend on how involved you are with the tarot. i'm not sure that a game like this would count as a reading given that its based on an algorithm coded into a computer program, not spiritual guidance given to the teller from an unseen source. And as a game its pretty well not worth the asking price for 8 minutes of play, unless you have a bunch of friends around. The choice is yours, but don't expect it to give you an accurate reading, I'm not sure the coding behind this game is up to it.

I like the design, it doesn't need to be anything special for what it is. However, I just wasted my money. I can't move around, there is no start menu, no settings menu, the cards do not load so that I can actually read them, there aren't different layouts, there is no exist button, there is no music menu, no story, no save option, no instructions, pretty much nothing but a picture with birds chirping. It is incredibly slow, and isn't actually presented in a game format. From the description it sounded like there was more here, but it is literally a not-free demo at this point.
