Short visual novel and “escape room” game.

Main gameplay involves clicking on things in a room. Hotspots aren’t marked, so you have to click on all more or less interesting things. When you hit a right spot, you’ll get a close-up where you can collect an item or solve a puzzle.

Puzzles contain clues throughout the room, so you need to pay attention at everything. Some of it is related to item use, which is accomplished fast by selecting an item from the inventory and then clicking on the hotspot. There are no hints so puzzles will leave you lost in later rooms.

Translation is rough, but it doesn't ruin the puzzles because they're more about visuals, numbers, and shapes.

PrisonSoul: Reunion — Rebuilt, and Back Together

First, an apology: this update has taken far too long. With this year’s Steam Autumn Sale now underway, I wanted to tell you a little about this long-awaited rebuild. AI has moved so quickly over the past year that I sometimes catch myself thinking, “Are we getting close to AGI already?” This time, Codex and I rebuilt the game together. Yes, really! (Laughs.) The reason for the rebuild is a little unfortunate: I lost the original project’s source files. So this wasn’t just a round of fixes; I rebuilt the entire game from the ground up. AI image tools deserve a lot of the credit for the improved visuals, and Codex helped me through plenty of programming and production headaches along the way. Aaron and Lorenz’s original story is unchanged. My hope is that the smoother presentation and new artwork will help you step into their world again, and see familiar faces and memories in a new light. https://clan.fastly.steamstatic.com/images/44924798/7ff09abe306017a1d49eb6d151cf1ac9e145fbff.png This update expands language support to seven: Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, Japanese, Russian, German, and Indonesian. I hope more of you can enjoy the story in a language you feel at home in. I want to keep making games that bring exploration, puzzles, and storytelling together, drawing inspiration from both Chinese and Western cultures. Thank you for supporting that journey, and I hope you’ll come back for PrisonSoul: Reunion. Thank you for your patience, your interest, and for playing. See you in the game! HungerWhale Games
