Push of War!

Quarrel Hill is a simple and cute pixel graphics game that takes constant clicking or tapping.

Imagine the back-and-forth of a tug-of-war game, but instead of pulling, you're pushing. That's this game. And that's pretty much it.

A bunch of dragons and dwarves and elves push against a series of enemies. Whichever side pushes the other off the side of the level wins. When you win, you earn gold.

As you pass levels, you earn a series of better units, of course. You start with fluffy orange baby dragons, and eventually get larger ones, and more powerful dwarves, and eventually elf mages. You also can level up each unit to level 10, and buy more slots for your party.

Each unit has a special attack or move. Some do so automatically, like certain ranged fighters, while others have to be charged. To charge the unit at the head of the line, you have to stop clicking to push to rest them.

Passing a level often means killing a couple enemy units in the front and sacrificing a couple of yours. You do have to replace the lost units, but upgrades are permanent. Losing wipes out your party and sends you back a few levels. However, you often get to skip a few levels when you pass a level.

An autoclicker works wonders, but you still need to put together a good party and fill all slots to pass later levels.

Unfortunately, there isn't as of yet a way to replay a level to grind for gold, but gold awards are decently generous and the level retreats on losing allow you to rebuild your party.

There's also a couple powerups to help you: Bombs and freeze vials. These can be purchased and upgraded.

Beat the level 500 boss, and you get to restart levels with more powerful enemies, your basic NewGame+.

The visual style here is a throwback to DOS days. But it works.

I did encounter a couple bugs. The game lagged briefly as both sides attacked each other in the 450+ castle, and one time, made the game hang.

Another bug in the late stages gave gold a weirdly high negative number. Fortunately, I had the right party to win level 500 at that point.

This is a simple little game, and obviously a young new developer. Give them a little encouragement by checking out this game.

its pretty fun. i don't think its randomly generated and it doesn't have achievements so i doubt it has much replay-ability.,

but its a good game it has some soulful sprites and silly art.
