You accumulate Lean (It's a drug apparently but think of it as ammo to throw at the monsters!) by clicking as fast as you can on the Lean Machean (sic.). The key to longevity lies in the upgrades (gained by earning bread each time you hit a monster) and on your feat problem solving skills (solve the puzzle to fix the broken Machean(sic).
I was quite surprised at how addictive this game became once I overcome the learning curve! How long can you survive?
Cookie clicker on survival mode anyone?

Latest updates
To get the important part out of the way, some of you might have noticed that Steam Achievements have been listed as a feature of the game for a few days now. This was of course to setup for this next update! You can now earn Steam Achievements!! When you first load into your save file, any Achievement you've already gotten should be re-granted and appear on Steam. All right now onto some quick info. I was planned to be done with this game honestly (to work on a new project) but recently, I had the urge to learn how to port games to Android. While I was working on the Android Port, I remembered a few things that I wasn't 100% satisfied with from the base game, which led to me making another update as well. As usual, copy + pasted from the in-game Changelog: Additions: - The game now supports Android. - Challenges have now been added for more mid-game variety. - Emily Tauren now has a unique death message. - If too many Lean Monsters spawn in, they'll now start entering and attacking regardless of how delayed they've been by Atmosphere. - The game now has an intro to help explain the game's premise. - Lean Monsters will now attack you directly if you have 0 Lean. - Steam Achievements are now supported. Changes: - Upgrade Interface now purchases on mouse release rather than mouse press. - Mechanics more seen late-game can now also occur earlier if you have a long run. - If Emily Tauren attacks the Lean Machean or the Back Door, she now does more damage than a regular Lean Monster. - Leaving the Lean Storage now automatically highlights the Lean Storage button rather than Start Game button. - The Shutter that drops down when the game is paused is now always visible. - Fixed a typo on the Achievements screen. - Emily Tauren no longer regenerates HP. - To accomodate for the above change, the unlock condition for Carton Cuboids is now easier. - Emily Tauren will now always bust the door if she chooses to leave. - Slightly adjusted black-out effect to be less harsh. - Lean...
Okay so first of all, now that the April Fools joke's over, the actual name of "Lean Simulator: Desperation v2.0.0" is actually "Lean Simulator: Desperaceon", at least that's what I'll be referring to it as outside of the minigame itself. That being said, unlike the previous update, this update ONLY makes changes to the Lean Simulator: Desperaceon secret minigame, not the main game itself, so here's the changelog: Additions: - You can now skip the short intro cutscene by pressing left click & right click at the same time. - Emily Tauren is now implemented! This is the only thing mentioned in the in-game Changelog. She appears as a 1 in 10 chance enemy who is faster than the others. You can also play as her if you type "TAUREN" on your keyboard at the title screen. Emily Tauren gives you an overall speed buff so she's basically a cool cheat code. - Previously, the Flood level was the only one with a gameplay difference (you stop slower), but that 1 gameplay difference was completely un-noticeable (why tf would you stop accelerating to begin with?). Now all levels have gameplay gimmicks that are more noticeable. To be specific: - The First Level is the only level devoid of any gimmick (It IS the first level afterall). - The Evil Level brings back the Shadow Hands from the base game which once again act as obstructions. - The Flood Level now makes you slow down gradually rather than instantly after using Special Lean. - The Lean Monster Gaming Level didn't need anything extra since it had a really annoying visual gimmick that may as well have been a gameplay gimmick considering it mostly blinds you, but I added more to it anyway. Lap 3 is a switch-up that adds both prior gimmicks as well, making Lean Monster Gaming Lap 3 the culmination of the entire game with all gimmicks. Changes: - Enemy Lean Monsters now move faster on later levels. - Special Lean Types have been rebalanced, I played with a lot here, not exactly sure what all the changes were exactly but I THINK th...
This update is so big that I've split it into 3 Parts, I'll give a description of each part in their own section. Part 1 - LeanSimD (Legacy) v1.1.12: A normal update to the base game as you know it. I'll explain more in the Part 2 section as to why I've called it the "Legacy" version. Additions: - Dev Archive now added to the Extras Menu. - Added a sub-easter egg to an already existing easter egg. Changes: - Special Lean Types are now less effective against Emily Tauren. They still one-shot her, but special abilities no longer apply. - Slightly increased the Bread Bonus from using Grean. - 2 Achievements have been swapped around so that they align with the order you're likely to achieve them. Fixes: - Fixed a capitalisation error in the secret error screen. - Title Star 1 now shows up immediately when it's supposed to. Part 2 - LeanSimD v2.0.0: Lean Simulator: Desperation has been ENTIRELY remade. Many changes have been made from the ground up to make for an overall better experience. Basically, this is the NEW Lean Simulator: Desperation. When you boot up the game normally, this'll be what gets played. The old Legacy version is still available in the files (hence why there was still a minor update to it lol), later on it may be made a Launch Option on Steam where you can choose between the two, but for now it'll just be the new one. Here's some of the major changes between the Legacy version you're used to and the new 2.0 version. Additions: - You can now freely roam Tilted Incorporated. - There are now 4 different "levels". Only Floor 48 starts unlocked, but you'll unlock the other 3 over the course of the game. - New Special Lean Type - I'll let the game surprise you as to what it is. You'll have to unlock it in gameplay. - Lean Monsters can now be customised! - Short intro animation to each run added, showcasing the Floor you've selected. Changes: - You now start the game with some Special Lean Types unlocked. - Menus are now 2D. - Left Click now moves you forwa...
