Hello! The free Rootwood Ranch demo is here! Download it from the game's Steam page and start making your own little corner of the forest feel like home. The demo is single-player. Rootwood Ranch will be launching into Early Access with multiplayer very soon, so you'll be able to build, explore and fight alongside your friends. What's in the demo? The entire Meadow, the game's first region. You start in the middle of the forest with a wooden pickaxe, gather your first resources, build a sawmill, a forge and a furnace, then gradually buy up neighbouring plots. Tame animals and they'll help carry resources. Plant crops, build a house and furnish it however you like. And be sure to explore those hidden corners: the forest is full of mysteries and secret stashes. There's plenty to fight, too. The Meadow is home to rootlings, spore creatures and ambush bushes that love leaping out of the grass. The Great Toad awaits in the Root Burrow, and your final challenge is the Guardian of the Meadow. It won't go down easily! Your world stays with you. You'll be able to transfer your demo world to the full game and pick up right where you left off. I'd love to hear your feedback!
