"The Doors" a garbage Adobe Flash tier ripoff of a basic "match 2" memory card game with a mild RNG element added... and a bunch of fake/paid reviews from the Russian review farm uncovered by Sentinels of the Store. Well, the developer is from Russia.

This is so bad it might as well be a 1990's browser/Flash game. Click on doors. Let the die randomly open a door. Question what you're doing wasting your time with this browser trash.

This has some really mediocre looking graphics that will understandably be a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises.

This is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good.

Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 5 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away.

Warning: Review Manipulation!

This game features a number of fake positive reviews from accounts known to be in the business of review manipulation/paid reviews. They're all written in either Russian or broken English, appear at almost exactly the same time, very shortly after the game launched on Steam, all have a direct Steam purchase of the game, and the accounts are used consistently to write fake reviews for asset flips and other cash grabs/scams. The "Positive" review score on this game should be disregarded due to this blatant, unethical review manipulation. This is done to deceive and scam gamers into paying for a bad product.

Due to the 2024 FTC ruling (16 CFR Part 465), these fake reviews are a violation of US Federal Law.

Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it?

Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.

I absolutely love this game! The graphics are stunning, and the gameplay is incredibly engaging. The storyline keeps you hooked from start to finish, and the characters are well-developed and relatable. The developers have truly created a masterpiece that combines fun mechanics with an immersive experience. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a thrilling adventure. Definitely worth every penny!

Wow, 20 levels with increased numbers of enemies and doors — impressive. The developers rely on quantity rather than quality.
The mini-bonus at 10,000 points is just another example of artificially stretching the experience. Instead of introducing new mechanics, the player simply gets more of the same.
The developers’ claim that the game is “both challenging and relaxing at the same time” sounds contradictory. I wouldn’t even call it challenging — it mostly just depends on randomness.
