Casual puzzle with a variety of scenes with familiar look but no zoom feature.
This is a collection of 95 puzzles or dioramas. They must be played in order, so you cannot choose which to tackle next. Dioramas reflect a wide range of scenarios and themes, including holidays, nature and wildlife, leisure time, and so on. If you are a regular fan of indie games, you might recognize the popular low-poly assets.
Your task is to identify the required number of differences (typically ten) between two images. This number is displayed at the top of the screen and goes down with each located difference. However, there is a challenge because you can only click on the wrong area three times. When you run out of tries, you will have to redo the puzzle.
On the other side, you get three hints that can be used to locate tricky differences. Because the differences in a puzzle are always the same, you may just repeat a puzzle and use hints until you have found them all. In some rare cases, the hint can fail and won’t place a mark, but this isn’t that big of a problem.
Puzzles are not too difficult. You only need to seek for objects that are missing from one of the two images. You will not have to deal with different position, sizes, or colors. Furthermore, images are static, so you will not have to bother about rotation or looking for objects hidden behind other objects.
Unfortunately, this is a major drawback that poses the game's greatest challenge. There are no camera options, which means no zoom feature. Because dioramas are so small and only take up half of the screen, you often have to squint and strain your eyes to see the smallest differences. Hints are especially important here because you can focus on obvious differences and use three hints to complete a stage faster.
The puzzles are complimented by relaxing music and achievements. You will not miss anything because achievements are rewarded for reaching stage milestones. There's no ending when you finish all puzzles; they simply reset and you start from stage 1.
I'm giving it a recommendation with a caveat. Only play this game if you have really good eyesight. The items on screen are very tiny, and there doesn't seem to be any way to zoom in. I am an older person with progressive lenses (i.e. bifocals) and I'm finding it really taxing on my eyes so can only play for short periods of time.
This is a pretty good find the difference game that kept me entertained, but the 5€ price tag feels a bit steep—I’d recommend grabbing it on sale if you can. The biggest letdown was not being able to figure out how to zoom in, or if it's even possible, which forced me to get uncomfortably close to the screen. That’s not ideal for long gaming sessions.
