Hey again, chefs! 🍔✨ I’ve got something new that I’m super excited about: collectible cards! Yep, just like the toys in kids’ meals, but in the form of card packs you can give to your customers. And heads up… it’s not just about giving a pack to any customer. When and which type of pack you give will add an extra layer of challenge for those who’ve passed the mid-game and are looking for more complexity. I’m not going to explain exactly how it works, because discovering it is part of the experience. 😉For those who love collecting TCGs (like me 😅), you’ll also be able to keep these cards, with their different rarities, and add them to your personal album. I thought it was a great reason to keep playing after unlocking everything, and to spend your money completing the collection. The cards are inspired by the characters from my upcoming game Bitsies, and for now there are 6 different designs with their rarities ready to unlock. As Bitsies progresses, I’ll be adding new cards and characters so your collection can grow.Don’t forget to add Bitsies to your wishlist!No achievements yet, but they’re coming! I want there to be a good variety of cards before adding them. Also, in the future, just like I did with Kukoro, I’d love for there to be some connection between the characters from Bitsies and Burgie’s, so that unlocking things in one game can affect the other. Even if they’re different universes, I love when games create links like that! 🤩 I can’t wait to see your collections, so if you get some cool cards, send me photos!If you find any bugs or have suggestions, I’m all ears.And finally, remember that Steam reviews help a ton, so consider leaving one if you haven’t already.Time to start collecting!
Merry Christmas everyone! 🎄 Like with almost all my updates, I’ll start by saying that this will be the last one for quite a while, as I need to focus on my next game (Wishlist it on Steam). Buuut… with all the love Burgie’s gets every day, the lovely reviews, and the streamers who play it and have a great time… here I am once again 😅 This new update includes: 🥤 Drinks system: With 3 basic drinks, and leaving the door open to possibly add lids and straws in the future. 🍟 Tray system: Set up so that new products can be added later on, such as fries, nuggets, chicken burgers, onion rings, and more. ⛄ New customers: Now there's a total of 31 different skins. 18 common, 2 Halloween, 6 Xmas, 2 secret & 3 streamers. 🎁 Little Christmas surprise: I said there wouldn’t be a Christmas DLC this year… and I kept my promise 😏 But I’ve added a small piece of free content that you can discover on your own. Next year, this will likely serve as the foundation for a much more polished Christmas DLC! Even though it may look like a small update, it took me longer than expected. I had to rework several systems to keep the code cleaner with the new tray system. But I won’t bore you with technical stuff 😄 I truly hope you enjoy the update. If you love that cute spooky vibe, you can now enjoy it in Burgie’s! The entire decor, music, and effects have been updated to fit a Halloween theme while keeping the same cozy atmosphere as always.
