A low-priced, relaxing mini breeding sim where you hatch chicks from eggs, raise them, and care for needs such as feeding, sickness, or boredom while unlocking new species through breeding and customizing hats and farm environments. There are 40 patterns, 20 hats, and 4 seasonal environments to collect, with breeding combination discovery and encyclopedia completion as the main replay elements. Controls are simple, but repetitive tasks like egg collection and feeding can feel somewhat monotonous.

The entire experience begins with a single egg purchased from a gacha vending machine. After acquiring an egg, you place it in an incubator, and within just a few seconds, it will hatch into a chick. The type of chick you receive is completely random, with a pool of 40 different variations to discover. The differences between these types are mainly aesthetic, based on the chick’s feather pattern.

Each chick also comes with a rarity rating, ranked from D (common) to S (rare). Rarity affects how much you can sell the chick for later. However, the only way to obtain higher-rarity chickens is through breeding. To do so, you must pair two fully grown chickens. While the specific feather type doesn’t influence the outcome, rarity does; at least one of the parents needs to be of a higher rarity if you want a better egg. For example, two D-rank chickens will never produce a B-rank egg.

Chicks are not self-sufficient and require regular care. They can experience two problems: sickness or boredom. If a chick becomes ill, you must take it to the hospital, where a three-step mini-game helps it recover. First, you clean away any stains using a swab, moving it back and forth. Then, you mix colors in a syringe until they match a target circle. Finally, you apply a bandage to complete the treatment.

Boredom is solved by taking the chick to the playground. This mini-game is simpler: a ball bounces on the chick’s head, and you must click it each time before it flies off in a random direction. The number of successful bounces needed to restore the chick’s mood is displayed on the screen, and it increases with the chick’s rarity.

Feeding is the last step in raising a chick into an adult chicken. This is done by pulling food from an endlessly replenished feed bag and giving it to the chick the required number of times. Once fully fed, the chick matures into a chicken. At this point, it no longer requires medical care, entertainment, or any other attention.

Adult chickens serve a single purpose: laying eggs at regular intervals. Your job is to collect and sell these eggs, which is as simple as clicking on them. However, you must act quickly. If left unattended for too long, the eggs will vanish.

The main objective is to expand your farm, fill it with chickens, and earn money to spend on upgrades. This is managed through a shop system where you can improve both buildings and special perks. For example, you might upgrade the incubator to reduce hatching time, or expand the farm’s capacity so you can keep more chickens. Initially, you can only house five adult chickens, so expanding becomes necessary.

Perks enhance gameplay in several ways, such as increasing the value of each egg, boosting the odds of multiple eggs being laid at once, extending your collection range, or speeding up the breeding process. The collection range perk is particularly useful if you’re gathering eggs manually. By holding down the mouse button and moving the cursor, eggs are drawn toward it like a magnet.

The most convenient investment, however, is the robot collector. This machine automatically picks up eggs for you. After gathering several eggs, it needs to recharge for a few seconds, but you can reduce its downtime through upgrades. While the robot won’t manage to grab every egg before they disappear, it still makes collection much easier.

Naturally, each upgrade you purchase increases the price of the next one, making progress slower over time. Unfortunately, the game offers only a small selection of perks and structures, all of which are available from the start. There’s no sense of unlocking entirely new features as you progress.

Ultimately, the overarching goal is to collect all 40 chick types. Each new type increases egg value, but once your upgrades are in place, achieving this is fairly easy. You can even leave the game running in the background, let the robot convert eggs into profit, and return periodically to spend your earnings and work toward completing your chicken collection.
