I got a copy of the game through my curator group, thank you for the game's developer.
MolEconomy is a management game with clicker and idle elements, where you have to manage your mole empire to get resources, craft and make products and sell them on the market to get money, and upgrade your empire.
The idea is alright and I think the setting with the moles and the items you can get is fitting. Graphically is alright, not that outstanding but has it's charm for sure. Sound design and the soundtrack is also fitting to the game overall. The gameplay is actually more complex then how it seems, as there are different equipment to use to help your empire make money, there is the market itself which has a very basic but cool demand system for each item and overall discovering new resources and products which you can make to help you get more money. The game has a decent challenge because of these, as it's not that straight forward to do well in the game.
But as of now the game is not without flaws and has some issues. For example, if you let a mole using your hook which is to get resources from the ground, occasionally it won't work after some time for no reason, where there are enough resources to get and there are other things as well. There are also some duplicated product items in the game which needs to be taken care of, and the menus could have quality of life updates to make them better to be used for example. Also the game needs more content, as it's fine for 10 or so hours which price wise was pretty alright, but this game could get more content especially for the achievement hunters or for those who interested in the game long term, make it more unique for more people to be interested in.
Considering this is the first game of the developer, I believe it's still a decent game and for 4€ I would say it can give some decent fun for those who is interested in an idle game, but have your expectations in check. I hope the developer will try to fix some of the issues and add more content to this game, because it would serve this game well. I can recommend to give it a shot, even for the full price to be fair.
EDIT: After my review the developer has added some quality of life changes and fixed the problem with the hook mole and duplicate items and added a few more features, so overall the developer is open to ideas and bug reports and wants to make the game better. Respect for that!
