THIS GAME DOES NOT DISCLOSE THAT IT USES AI!!!

The voices used in this game are made with generative AI but this (as of writing this review) is not disclosed on the Steam page. This is a direct violation of Steam's TOS.

As for the rest of the game, it runs very poorly for a simple tarot reading application. It also opens up a terminal and launches Webview in the background. These are apparently vital to the game running, as if you force close either, the game also closes.

Because the voices are AI generated, they often "speak" over themselves, and the dialogue sounds stunted or strange. I'd much prefer if there were just subtitles or even if there was poorly done voice acting.

The performance issues and the use of AI are really unfortunate because this is one of the better applications out there for learning tarot. It provides fun and interesting ways to learn the cards, as well as learning spreads. It provides a good resource to practice readings, and even has a built in journal so you can track thoughts on your readings.

I like the game for what it is, but they NEED to fix the problems and PLEASE get rid of the AI voices.

Nice game; i guess mini games is what i should say; my favourite is the boxing and Directors mode. I would like to see more episodes in directors mode; if the developers are listening. But overall this is a great way to learn the tarot cards, which is quite ingenious.

Tarot Awakening – Review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5)

I wasn't sure what to expect from a tarot training game, but Tarot Awakening blew me away. This isn’t just a reading simulator, it’s a full-on mystical experience. The art, the music, the voice acting... it all feels like you’re stepping into a sacred space designed to help you connect with the cards and actually *learn* them.

The different game modes are surprisingly deep. Flashcards helped me recognize the meanings fast, the memory game was addictive (those badges 👀), and the boxing mode?? Hilarious and genius. Never thought I'd hear a tarot card introduced like a prizefighter. 😂

There’s also a journal where you can track your growth and reflections. I’m already seeing patterns in my readings I never noticed before.

🌙 Highlights:

* Beautiful altar backdrops and moon phase integration
* Voiceover guidance without being overwhelming
* Super engaging tarot training modes
* Future update teases (can’t wait for Director Mode!)

If you're even remotely into tarot or want to become a confident reader, this game is worth every penny. It’s like a digital tarot dojo, immersive, empowering, and magical.
