Hello, everyone! As AI technology advances, we have access to more efficient creative tools. We believe the benefits of these tools should also extend to older projects—games with promising ideas that never reached their full potential because of limitations in technology, experience, time, or funding. That’s why we’ve decided to completely remake Herba Project and bring you the content and features we once imagined but couldn’t make a reality! Here’s what we’re planning for the remake:Nearly 300 distinct plantsWe’re greatly expanding the variety of plants while preserving the delicate, hand-drawn look of the original. Each plant will have its own experimental data for you to study as you get to know its unique characteristics.A new genetic synthesis systemThe core cultivation mechanics—adjusting temperature, humidity, and nutrients—will remain, with a new system that lets you combine genes to create new plants. Many plants will no longer be obtainable simply by changing their growing conditions. To cultivate them, you’ll first need to collect the required genes.A reworked main story and a wealth of hidden storiesAs you grow your plants, you’ll delve deeper into a vast conspiracy that could shape the future of humanity. Uncover the stories hidden beneath the surface, find the truth, and make your choice.More improvements, with the price staying the sameWe’re also adding more atmospheric music, support for more languages, and more handy tools. The game’s price will not increase as a result of the remake. As AI tools become an everyday part of the creative process, I still want to stay true to what matters most to me as a creator: giving my players a one-of-a-kind experience.Update ScheduleWe’re aiming to release the first major update by the end of 2026.Much of the game’s writing cannot simply be handed over to AI, so we still need time to work through and refine the content. We expect the full update process to continue until mid-2027.We look forward to sharing the rebi...
