100 Cats Lost In England Find & Color

This seems to be a new series trying to join the cat-based HOG craze that has been going around on Steam for a while. Given the 2nd section the level offers with colouring tasks I would say this is aimed at a younger audience. The difficulty is in line with this since the game is very easy. Also, the hand-drawn picture looks nice.

Interestingly, 2 people can play it. This is especially helpful when it comes to colouring everything. By the way, this is pretty easy as we are told what paint (number) we need to take and use. What I didn't get is why sometimes the numbers are not available. Long pressing with our brush on these areas will reveal the missing colour requirement. In fact, long pressing completes an auto-selection of the colour needed so this way you can just complete the entire level without the need to check the numbers at the bottom.

It's nice that these games are free. You get a good picture (pun intended) with them and if you liked the approach you can move on to purchase the title that has a dozen or so countries (pictures) to complete. Recommended for HOG fans and easy-100% achievement hunters.

I've been following this series since last summer and it is still nice to see that the developer keeps releasing these titles completely free of charge. A DLC labelled as extra content can be purchased to support the creators and to make the game last longer as it actually offers a completely new map to complete.

But what is this game? What makes it different from the other HOGs we keep seeing on Steam regularly? Here the concept follows a two-stage system: first find 100 cats then use your brush to add colour to the monochrome drawing. While doing so you can listen to A.I.-generated music.

There is a duo option to play this game in - I always chose solo. Wonder how the duo experience can differ. Do you have hints available as a helping feature for finding the cats? Yes, but this first stage is very easy and you can be done with it pretty fast.

I would say the most exciting part is colouring everything. The numbers (their corresponding colour can be seen at the bottom) are given and with a simple click you can paint a section. Once you pick a colour, the appropriate sections you can use that on become grey as in highlighted for you to know how to make progress.

And if you don't see the helping number? You just have to zoom in or hold left-click so that the right colour will automatically be chosen for you. Easy-peasy. With newer titles I have not seen any upgrades to this series but why change a working formula? Highly recommended. Watch out: it is very relaxing!
