Weird collection of scenes that unlock more scenes as you play through them. Some quite atmospheric, but it didn't really click that well with me. Would give neutral if i could.
A collection of abstract, minimalistic scenes on the different contexts of “night”, likely across different time periods, circumstances, and people.
Most of the experience is a walking sim, but there are some deviations to that. My favorite was the sokobon box mini-game, which was such a neat use of 2D / 3D space that I really want the core concept to be expanded upon as a separate, standalone horror experience.
Meeting certain objectives in some scenes unlocks more scenes, and I was able to reach the final scene in around 40 minutes. A short game, but it’s worth checking out if you like works that are contemplative and mix various genres and moods.
By the way, most controls aren’t stated in-game so if you’re wondering, all you need is WASD / Arrow Keys, Mouse (Left + Right Click), L-Shift, and Spacebar. Also if you’re unsure if you’ve “completed” a scene, you can click on “TONIGHT”, which shows all the objectives you can do in each scene .
After about half a year, I've finally decided to release this project on the last night of the year. There may still be place for improve, and it definally not what I imaging to be like while I start develop it.
