Desktop Purrfect lets you keep adorable cats lounging on your screen while you work or stream, with light idle mechanics for collecting toys and furniture to customize their space. You can pet and feed them directly or let them roam autonomously, discovering silly animations and interactions. It's a low-pressure desktop companion best enjoyed as ambient entertainment rather than an active progression game.

This is a neat little desktop idler. I run it on my second monitor along with Discord so it always has something going on. The game has plenty of stuff to do, upgrades to get, and things to buy for the cats. The cats are cute and the animations are great.

I did almost return this right away because it only ran once correctly. Every time after, it would run but nothing would show up on my screen. I found a workaround for it, though. (If you have a second monitor) If the game isn't showing up go to "Show hidden icons" on your taskbar, right click the cat, hit "Open book", go to Settings > Display > Swap Monitor. Then swap it back and the cats and everything will be showing.

silly goober game, pretty relaxing.
its quite nice to see them roaming around and just doing their thing and honestly interacting with them is a bit repetitive if you plan on progressing that way so letting them do their own thing is pretty enjoyable and seeing what sort of chaos these goofballs end up doing.
being able to change their size and fps is a good touch aswell alongside the new click through option which cuztomizes the experience and even make the game not obstructive.
theres also extra boundary settings that can be changed to make their floor higher or lower depending on what you want so the game is generally pretty customizable.
chill mode is sorta just there, it does help make everything less obstructive when doing something else though.

from the demo, the game offers more items for the cats to play and more progression, and more cats though thats basically it though being able to transfer your progress from the demo into the full release is a big plus.

theres not much else tho, its a fairly simple game thats meant to be enjoyed while doing something else, now it feels like you're doing something but with a cute group of pixel cats on your desktop.
do keep in mind that the game can still heat up your device a bit so keeping them on lower FPS unless you have good specs or heat ventilation would be advisable.

very much enjoyed this game in the demo and i do hope the game progresses from here on out.

I've had this demo for a little while, implementing into my chilled lounge scene on my stream and I and my occasional viewer (lol) enjoy it too! So happy the full versions is released and I think you've done a fantastic job with the entire design of this little idler/app - I'd love to see some more fun interactions with twitch chat like for example have them type a command to let their cat appear on screen so its like they take it with them and bring it back to stream or maybe some features with platform for the cats to climb to the top of and look down over their pride haha (it would be cool to be able to sit them on top of open programs on desktop) Another cool idea may be to implement some mobile integration, so many times I've been cooking dinner or making a drink and can hear my cats desperate to eat but I can't get to them, an app to open and feed them would be amazing! Hope that's some fun ideas for future content and I really look forward to following its journey! <3

v1.0.8 Possible fixes for progress loss.

I'm sorry to anyone who has lost progress recently. I've spent the last few days investigating reports of data loss during system restarts, but still failed to recreate the bug on my end. I’ve implemented a few possible fixes in this patch to address the likely culprits.

v1.0.7 Revert chill mode and late game progression.

Added way to revert chill mode as requested. Rescaled late game item cost for faster progression. FYI, if you have problem with Steam Cloud Save, check if you have both full game and demo installed. Uninstalling the demo should fix the cloud save issue.
