Hello tadpoles 🐸 !An Amazing New Feature! After studying the docs, searching for tutorials and a lot of trial and error, we've finally been able to make the Twitch integration work with our game. From now on, anyone who wishes to stream Frog Pond Simulator, will be able to let their chat interact with the game using commands, but not everyone... only those who's name is assigned to a frog will be able to take control of it! So it's up to you how to make use of this feature 😉How to enable it?The feature is pretty simple, nothing fancy. By default the integration is disabled, so in order to enable it the streamer needs to go to the "Gameplay" settings, scroll down and enable it. Then, in the bottom left corner they'll be able to toggle it on/off, of course you'll need to authenticate using the browser to login and generate a token that the app will use for connecting. In addition, in order to allow the spectators to see the commands they can use through the chat, the streamer can add the twitch extension, accessible via the "Gameplay" settings, (you'll see a text saying "Get the Twitch Extension") it will open in the browser so the streamer can add it as an overlay on top of their stream, and a small balloon with a tooltip will hover on top of their livestream. How to use it?Once twitch is connected, the streamer can rename pretty much any frog with the name of any of its spectators. After that, only the spectator with matching name will be able to use commands on that frog. You can see the available commands in the screenshot below or using the Extension during the livestream. We're looking forward to seeing if you'll appreciate this new feature, it was a headache to get it to work, so hopefully you'll enjoy it!
Hello Tadpoles 🐸!We have an important announcement to makeAfter 2 years of development, through a lot of ups and downs, many challenges and balancing our daily life with the development of Frog Pond Simulator, we have finally come to a point where we think our game is very close to its final form. We have a quiet and relaxing pond, filled with many beautiful frogs which can't stop jumping around and meeting each other, interacting in weird and comical ways, without ever getting tired.A bit of backgroundOur hardest challenge was making the Vampire Frog: having to make her not only react to the day-time changing, but also going in and out of its coffin gave us a lot of headaches... we had to iterate many many times to finally be able to let this little Dracula awaken and satisfy its blood lust. Since the start of the project, we changed our frog's pose to make the creatures more appealing, and the map design a few times to make the environment more relaxing and filled with life. We improved the UI a few times. We rebuilt the pathfinding and the locomotion system completely, in order to get rid of glitches of the physics engine. As you can see, we had to face various issues, but it didn't let us down and instead, we learned a lot from our first official product development. We put a lot of passion into it and we want it to succeed.Release DateWe can finally tell you that Frog Pond Simulator will release on 24th September 2026!We hope you will be excited to play it as much as we are to publish it. Enjoy the Pond and everything it has to offer!
