Kinda cool aesthetics, but gives me (again) a deja vu feeling I've gotten in the last 20 steam idle games I've played or so. Extremely linear, false illusion of choice, almost 0 strategy and or planning: click, wait, click, wait, click, wait, repeat.
Also, extremely short duration for that price.

Nothing like NGU, Idle Wizard or Unnamed Space Idle (yes, those aren't perfect, but I expect any idle to have at least the same intricacies those idles have)

Go ahead and give me your clown awards, circus enjoyers.

I am hesitant to recommend this game, and I advise seriously considering your purchase before buying, but I will endorse it anyway for its strengths despite its flaws. From my perspective I will list them in brief.

THE BAD

  • Extremely short, can be beaten in under three hours.
  • Optimization issues, runs extremely poorly in late game.
  • (edited) Cryo-Dream difficult to complete, extreme lag.
  • Annoying SFX, I honestly can't imagine a fuel injection sound that wouldn't get on my nerves at 100/s

THE GOOD

  • Great design, from gameplay to UI
  • Great art, I enjoyed the music, art, and animations.
  • Reasonably good story.

To conclude; I have a soft spot not just for indie devs, but also B games. Art that was made with conviction in spite of its shortcomings. If, like my, you enjoy novel experiences as much as polished ones you should give this game some of your time.

Unless this game gets some major updates, I cannot say that the price tag is worth the gameplay. I totally thought the tech tree would lead to something else, but once you finish the tech tree the game is basically over. half the "features" I never really used much, and it felt more like a side minigame to distract yourself with the main game than something linked to the actual game.

The gameplay its self is OKAY. it is interesting at first- but the lack of being able to lock the pellets to one spot is seriously detrimental for late game fun. I wanted to make a combination of cores and igniters, but every time I tried anything it always got pushed around and didnt work more than just "Throw a pile of ignitors on top of a pile of cores". The 4 fuels and 4 augments are everything that you get, if there was maybe double the items to put in the core I could see some interesting builds being made. I could come up with 3 or 4 builds in TOTAL to generate power, and after you figure those out you really have nothing left to do but grind prestiges till you have a high enough level.

If you want an incremental game with a lot of layers and depth, I would recommend antimatter dimensions
if you want a more gimmicky chain reaction type incremental game I would recommend max minos 1.
