Thank you for this game! Command Modern Operations was far too time consuming for me. But with this game, you don't have to miss out on any important features. Especially not passiv radar/sonar. The game offers everything I need. Unfortunately, I only stumbled across it by chance on Reddit.

Glad I found this! This takes me back to the year 2000 and Jane´s Fleet Command by Sonalysts Simulations (688i H/K), and my time with the Seawolves community. We had a blast playing FC In multiplayer and solo, along with 688i H/K.
This Is very similar, but also similar to CMANO, now CMO (Combat Modern Operations), and before that Harpoon 4. It´s more streamlined then CMO, or Harpoon 4 but without losing the core essentials that make these simulations great. It´s not so dense either, In that regard It leans more towards Jane´s Fleet Command, at least for now.
Gameplay Is smooth (i5 3rd gen./16 RAM/GTX 1060) and easy to play/learn, but challenging. Not many scenarios for now but Includes a editor which Is always a good thing. Has tutorials which are narrated and texted, and very basic UI settings which gives you again the essentials. Team has a web page and forum so It´s not some random dev out of nowhere grabbing your money.
Yes It´s In EA but for a game like this I am willing to give them my support! The last game I saw/played like this (aside from CMO) was Naval War Artic Circle by Paradox Interactive but was more on the broken and abandoned side then anything else. So for me personally this Is very welcomed, thank you team Wardstone! <S>

Came across this game on Reddit and thought I would take a punt given the release price.
It's just what I'm looking for. Something not as complex as Command Modern Operations but with a bit more complexity that Jane's Fleet Command. Runs very smoothly, even on my ancient laptop, which makes it perfect for evening play when I can sit on the couch and have the TV on in the background.
I really enjoy CMO but find that it takes a lot of time and effort to play even simpler scenarios, which there is nothing wrong with that but sometimes you just want to play something where you can get straight into the gameplay.
One little feature that I really like is the spoken instructions in the tutorials. It's only an AI voice, but it makes it much easier to focus on working out what you need to do, without having to read pages of text. Something as simple as that in other games which rely on a mass of text for tutorials or briefings where it can be easy to miss small but important details would be a game changer.
Looking forward to seeing this game develop during EA.
