Suncraft blends resource gathering with incremental progression as you restore a forgotten village by crafting tools, upgrading equipment, and expanding buildable land. The central goal—reconstructing a grand Lighthouse—provides narrative direction to the core loop of collecting materials and crafting items. Pixel-art aesthetics and cozy tone make this appealing to players seeking relaxed, low-pressure gameplay rather than competitive challenge.

This game is dope!

About 30 hours to 100%, all cheevos & puzzles, etc.

This game almost instantly harkened back to games I'd played prior where the theme is basicaly 'island survival, forage for the things you need, build, and proceed'.

This is a cozy game, where you are rewarded for playing, instead of the production lines of automated manufacturing. There are skills in the tree that eventually introduce QoL things, but the last 2-3 hours was mostly just waiting for the auto-miners to gather enough materials to get the skillpoints to finish the tree off.

The developers were amazingly responsive to feedback, questions, and problems discovered.

The music is cozy, although I turned it off (I do for all games, that's nothing against this one) so that I could play it while multitasking (I might not be of the TikTok generation, but their ways are tricky and pervasive).

At the price, it's a steal. And if you're not sure, just go watch IdleCub play it for 15 minutes, then you'll be back. ;)

Suncraft sold itself to me as a modest cozy crafting adventure.
That is technically accurate in the same way calling a cruise ship “a boat” is technically accurate.
Fifteen hours later, I had rebuilt an island, uncovered a heartfelt story, nearly completed every achievement, and accepted a giant bee into local industrial operations without anyone explaining why it was enormous or more reliable than I was.
The crafting loop is dangerously satisfying. You gather absurd amounts of resources, feed them into cheerful machines, enjoy the correct beeps and bops, then watch your stockpile vanish into one advanced component that still needs six other things and your remaining financial security.
The story was the real surprise. Suncraft has a clear narrative, genuine mysteries, and characters who feel like they existed before you arrived. Kael and his cat Soot went directly for the heart without the game ringing an emotional service bell.
There are a few progression bottlenecks, so keep your furnaces running and stockpile iron, copper, wire, and couplings.
Suncraft is polished, cohesive, genuinely funny, and far more story-driven than its description suggests.
Complimentary key provided. The opinions and concern about ocean-sourced butter are entirely my own.

Fantastic game so far. I love the skill tree, quests and automations bits that are slowly unlocked. So many things to do at each point, good lore, and the new additions from the Demo are awesom
