A narrative detective game set in a Russian village where you investigate a theft by gathering clues and interviewing suspects whose contradictions and body language matter as much as their words. Multiple endings shift based on your conclusions, rewarding careful observation of social dynamics and subtle details to determine guilt among a cast of morally ambiguous locals.

Warning: AI Slop
This e-book is partially or completely made with talentless, soulless AI generated content.

GREXOVKA VILLAGE is not a game, it's an e-book that's been dumped on Steam masquerading as a game. As a visual/interactive novel, this doesn't feature any notable gameplay, it's just a lot of clicking through badly written dialogue that would never have been accepted or published in print, which poses the question, "How did something this badly written end up on Steam?". When someone hoping to become an author is unable to get published in print, they spend $100 and dump their high school fan-fiction onto Steam, under the guise of a game.

This e-book was slapped together with the godawfully bad RenPy Visual Novel/E-Book construction kit, so just like no professional writing took place here, no professional game development took place either, it's just a product of filling out templates in the construction kit.

This E-book features Choose-Your-Own-Adventure elements where you make some decisions that don't do anything to change the fact this is just an E-Book. Nobody finished reading a Choose-Your-Own-Adventure book and said "Boy, what a great game I just played!". Because E-books aren't games. And neither is this.

This garbage E-book was probably written in part by a generative LLM just like all the visuals are disgusting AI slop (with AI yellow stain colouring too, but Atomic Fabric has no qualms about pushing garbage on Steam). There's a detective plot, it's garbage, but this is from a purveyor of fake games.

Gamesforfarm/Atomic Fabrik/Total have shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab, through this account or through closely linked/alt accounts. Here's some examples so you can see for yourself:

The poor quality of this E-Book is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak reader number was only 3 readers, and the worst part is these weren't genuine readers, these were the Russian fake review accounts that the developer paid to make the fake reviews. Since the fake reviews are all done, now the only reader activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it.

Considering there's over 130 million gamers on Steam and well over 140,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality E-Book is to be expected.

Warning: Review Manipulation!

This E-Book features a number of fake positive reviews from accounts known to be in the business of review manipulation/paid reviews. They're all written in either Russian, broken English or ChatGPT AI slop, appear at almost exactly the same time, very shortly after the E-Book launched on Steam, all have a direct Steam purchase of the E-Book, and the accounts are used consistently to write fake reviews for asset flips and other cash grabs/scams. The "Positive" review score on this E-Book should be disregarded due to this blatant, unethical review manipulation. This is done to deceive and scam gamers into paying for a bad product.

Due to the 2024 FTC ruling (16 CFR § 465.4, 15 U.S.C. § 45), these fake reviews are a violation of US Federal Law.

So, should you buy this E-Book? Is this one of the best of the 140,000+ games on Steam?

GREXOVKA VILLAGE is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the E-Book, coupled with the unrealistic price, and the questionable ethical nature of the developer and/or their associates (as outlined above), this is impossible to recommend.

An incomprehensible ending, and in any of the endings. They seem to say that they are guilty, but in fact it turns out that they are not.

PS: and as usual, the woman is to blame

Man, I love games like this.

This isn't a dark thriller, but a very heartwarming detective story in which we'll be leading an investigation. A theft has occurred in a small village, and we need to figure out which of six people is guilty.

To do this, we search for clues and draw a conclusion based on them. There are several endings, which allows you to replay the game several times. And the pleasant atmosphere with charming artstyle make the gameplay even more engaging.

If you read the review and liked it, don't forget to give it a thumbsup;)
