Gameplay & Settings

This is a charming point and click game (I played it fully with just my mouse), that is both beautifully illustrated and humorous. You play as Bear Red, a rogue for hire that is on a mission to retrieve some potions when poop hits the fan along the way. There is also a light meaningful story that takes place with a fun and light-hearted ending (well the ending of this story for now).

The puzzles are not too difficult and the achievements easy to earn (I would take a peek at them as you play to nab them all). However there are save slots to save at any point you wish along the way so you can revisit areas to nab them if you missed them.

✨If you need to replay an area you can fast forward through text by holding down Escape

Settings & extras include; audio controls, language, cursor lock (on or off), display and resolution options. There are save slots to save points of interest along the way.

Overall Experience

I really enjoyed this game’s illustrations, heartfelt story and humor. The way the story ends hints at more adventures to come (and I hope so) as the characters were delightful, especially Rani.💖

Tail of Glory is a heartwarming story driven adventure title that blends classic point and click puzzle gameplay with lightweight role playing mechanics developed and published by Lascalis, The entire playthrough lasts approximately 1-2 hours, making it perfect for a relaxed one sitting gaming session. This game is suitable for players of all age groups, including young children.

The game adopts intuitive and easy to master point and click controls tailored for easy puzzle adventure newcomers. Players can use the left mouse button to move the protagonist across the areas and interact with various interactive scenery objects to gather hints and key items. The right mouse button allows players to closely examine collected items and environmental props for hidden clues. Besides basic exploration and item collection, the game also let you combine items to solve intricate puzzles and advance the story.

The game’s storyline begins when a mage sends a request to the Adventurers Guild via a special communication crystal. Players take on the role of Bear Red, a seasoned and agile rogue with rich experience. Players are assigned a commission by Tamshia. The core objective is to collect 6 bottles of special Graft Potions from a tree house and safely deliver the full potion batch to the southern shore of Throne Lake. Your adventure is full of unexpected twists and fun challenges right from the start. You first come across a mischievous crow that steals the key to the tree house, and later meet Rani, the injured queen of the Squirrel Kingdom, who has lost her tail. The story is well written. The game includes a fulfilling proper ending for this journey, and it hints that the developer may release future sequels.

Visually, Tail of Glory boasts an exquisite hand crafted watercolor art style with cozy whimsical atmosphere identical to illustrated children storybooks and complementing the game’s gentle low tension fantasy setting. The game world is filled with detailed interactive props. The characters are designed ranging from the adorable squirrel queen Rani to the menacing yet crow antagonists. There is dynamic animations to every character, such as breathing, talking and food chewing. These subtle details breathe life into every character and make the entire game world feel authentic and lively.

Overall, Tail of Glory delivers a great puzzle adventure experience. It has intuitive controls, easy and creative puzzles and an emotional storyline about friendship and teamwork. Boasting gorgeous hand painted graphics and lively character animations, this cozy fantasy game fits casual players and family gaming perfectly. If you love story focused point and click games with relaxing vibes and easy puzzle, this game is highly recommended.
