I wasn't expecting emotions from an incremental upgrade game. If you're a pet owner and enjoy the genre then this game is made for you. It is special in a way few other games are. Only complaint in the gameplay is the third material (computer chips?) are a little slow to acquire early on compared to how many you need. If you're playing it and it feels like a bit of a slog, don't get discouraged because once you get past that point it feels about right.
The price is a little high but doing some research I see Apamate Studio, a team of two brothers, is working on a larger project they aren't able to finish and are using this as a kind of fund raiser. It is 6-7 bucks for 2 hours of game, but it's also helping indie developers. Don't know if that matters to you, but I don't feel like I paid too much.
All in all a great game, best selling point is the story. Took me an hour to max out the upgrades after finishing the story, so maybe some rebalancing is needed. The story tho... oh man, haven't cried from a game in a long long while. Made me think of my late cat and the regret I hold of his death(he died of natural causes, I just wasn't there when he passed...), miss the little buddy so much even after all these years. Best cat there ever was(at least for me) and I truly hope he had a great life. Best 6.5 euros I've spent on a game in a long while.
This is not a Game, it's an Experience, that will make you feel emotions and will make you think a lot, not just about the Cat, but about life, don't just play this game, but feel and understand the true meaning behind it.
I hope that this experience gets the love and attention it deserves, just like the Cat.
Hi everyone! We've been paying close attention to your feedback and suggestions over the last few days. Here are the patch notes for version 1.0.2 with the latest tweaks and fixes: The main menu now checks if you meet the requirements for any missing achievements and unlocks them automatically, which should fix the issues some of you were experiencing. Added the option to replay the final cutscene. After finishing the game, clicking "Continue" on the main menu will now let you choose whether to keep playing or rewatch the ending. Made a minor balance adjustment. There is now a very low chance for red blocks to appear between layers 20 and 25 to prevent you from getting stuck in that area for too long. Updated some of the cat's sprites to make the passage of time visually clearer. Fixed a few errors in the cat's animations. Fixed other minor visual bugs. Wilmar & Wilderman Apamate Studio

We've been closely watching your feedback and we already have our first small patch ready to fix a few minor issues. Patch 1.0.1 Notes: Fixed a bug that unintentionally made some upgrades free. Fixed an issue that caused the final cutscene to play more than once. Fixed the cat's purring sound triggering at the wrong time. Added a couple of extra dialogue lines. Fixed translation errors in the Russian, German, French, Portuguese, and Italian versions. What are we working on next? We are still reading everything you post and are already preparing future updates. We specifically want to mention that we are paying close attention to the game's overall balance, evaluating ways to improve it, especially in the late-game sections. We are also keeping a very close eye on localization. If you are playing in a language other than English or Spanish and spot any mistranslations, we would be incredibly grateful if you could report them to us in the Steam community forums.
