Neat idea, but has baffling issues: Disabling screen shake works for smacking gnomes, but not for clicking the pouch (which is the one I found more annoying). All settings are reset on prestige, which is annoying on a lot of levels. No way to turn off button sounds but not ghost sounds - getting the clue to minimise the tech tree can get difficult when you hear hundreds of clinks per second. On prestiging the fourth time, you are told about new items in the shop (again), despite no new addition from then on.
Overall, feels like ideas were added to the todo list, but only half implimented and not tested.
Buttons Up! is a short incremental clicker/idle game about getting buttons to unlock more buttons. The concept of the game is pretty simple, and I was able to beat one run in less than 1.5 hours (and all achievements in <3 hours). The gameplay loops is pretty interesting at first, but it does grow old kind of fast. Until you get some later upgrades, you actually do need to pretty actively playing due to potentially losing earned button values from gnomes stealing them. The prestiging in the game is also not super well done, as all it does is unlock 1 new upgrade every time (up to 4 times). However, putting those faults aside, the game is also only $1 (sub $1 on sale), and honestly I had a good time for the first 1-2 hours to justify this pricepoint.
If you are looking for a incremental idler game with deep upgrade trees and replayability, this game falls far short of that. However, if you are looking for a game that costs less than a McDonald's cheeseburger to give you an hour or two of fun... this game is for you.
Greetings Buttoneers!First of all, I'm sorry to inform you that the content update had a small issue for users who wanted to use the 'Continue' button within the main menu. After the update, the users who picked "Continue" from the main menu, ended up to Gnome Wood -level, which had some of the features available that were supposed to be only within the new world (Kings Button). This update will fix the issue for the users who use the continue button from this point on. Users who has already used the continue button, see information below:Your prestige progress is saved (Game currently features 4 playthrough prestige upgrades)If you have not yet completed the Gnome Wood level 4 times, you should now do that through the 'New Game' button and by selecting Gnome Wood. The amount of prestiges you've completed so far, is saved and will not be wiped if you select the new game (Only way to wipe the prestiges is to use the reset data in the menu)You can use the 'New Game' button in the menu which will take you to world selection screenIf you already used the 'Continue' button after the update, unfortunately that caused the game to start the Gnome Wood level (your previous save) with SOME of the features that were supposed to be only in the Kings Button level.(Your game will look like this, if you've pressed the continue button after the update. The powerups will spawn, but there is no powerup user interface in the left bottom corner. Also, the prices of the upgrades is much higher, which was supposed to be only in the Kings Button -world)If you're interested to hear how this bug happened, see below:New datapoint was added within the update called "currentWorld"that datapoint was set (by default) to "king" which was not intentionalThe users who pressed the "continue" button - jumped into their old save, but because the new datapoint "currentWorld" was added, it took that default value for it "king"Which caused the game to continue where you left off within your save, but the "k...
