Have you played Ultrakill's layer 8 and constantly going "what is happening, where am i, where is everyone"? You'll be feeling somewhat the same playing this asking "what is happening, how am i earning this much, why am i gaining more by ignoring conditions on this upgrade i just bought".

The pacing is as good as YOU are, or until you'll stumble upon a meta and stick with it until the end of the game (being corner bishops ), but despite it-you'll have to adapt towards pushing your income further, reading into upgrades and attempting to break the balancing as hard as you can.

There is however a problem which might or might not be addressed: while early-on it wont be much of an issue, at mid-late prestige starts you'll have to re-purchase the whole starter setup piece by piece, which is a bit annoying, making me wish for a milestone upgrade "keep the purchased pieces and X board squares". Game even has save/load slots, which i thought is exactly for that, but they're prestige-session only, meaning they're reset after gaining insight, so they're more of "save the best option and experiment without having to remember the layout" thing.

Game itself could use a bit more of QoL, like: stop resetting "hide maxed" button, "buy max" button for upgrades/pawns, hold LMB and swipe to buy board squares, maybe even "sell the board square/chess piece" because sometimes it can ruin a build. Also spamming autoclicker on a chess piece will bug it, which can be reset by quitting to menu (why does it say "quit the game" when its "back to menu"?)

Any game that sends me into incomprehensible power trip is a high recommend from me. And that price is literally a steal for fans of the genre.

This game is incredibly complex and strategic, especially compared to so many of these recent incrementals where you just click the upgrades in the intended order until you reach the end. Every upgrade or two causes you to re-think and re-optimize. It's an absolute steal for the price.

Edit: Just finished the game. It's great all the way through. Very little grinding if you have good strategy, but you can also grind a bit if you get stuck.

One of the best incremental and most unique games I've ever played and for sure the one requiring the most thinking and thinkering.
Great if you like incremental games and puzzle.

Huge kudos to the dev for pushing incremental games in a new interesting way.

German localization corrections thanks to Daniel da Silva! A few "secrets" to thank you!

I can't describe how grateful I am to see so many people playing my game for hours and even finishing it! I was not expecting such a positive reception when I released the game 2 weeks ago.Thank you also for all the great feedback, especially regarding quality-of-life improvements. I'm hoping to release a first patch soon with a few of these changes. While waiting for the 1st QoL patch, here are a few (not-so-)secret features you may have missed:You can swipe-buy squares of the board! Simply hold LMB to buy a square, then drag across adjacent squares as if you were drawing on the boardYou can press B (on keyboard) to randomly change the color of the board if you don't like the current oneYou can change the transparency of the rice grains in the settings (can be helpful to keep the board visible near the end of the game!)There is a fantastic guide to solving the riddle of the demo if you played it, feel free to check it out in the Community hub! Thanks again, I'm delighted to see so many people enjoying my game, I hope you keep having fun with it!Oh, and feel free to post screenshots of your best configurations for maximum production per cycle! I heard that some people were able to reach over 100 Q / cycle but I've not seen it yet...
