Miners' Union is an incremental game. Mine coal, upgrade, fight off busters and grow the union.

something went horribly wrong here. after 20 rounds the game asks you to prestige and gain a card, lost everything for a 2% bonus, ok. once you realize only damage is important (what is the health/regen stat even doing in the game, was never relevant) one round takes around 0,5 seconds..whereas the absolutely unnececary transistion screens in and out of the level take 5 seconds each..so for every prestige (20 stages) you have around 10 seconds of actual playtime and 200 seconds of transition screen! on top of that i got stuck on one of those screens endlessly, so i alt+f4´d and refunded
The game short but pretty fun, i would like it to go for longer since i got a really good union worker as my 4e worker, it had 2x the amount of money you had left in your bank the next day and after 15 day the game didnt want to load the upgrade menu i had to close the game to complete the prestige and get the last achievement
So, this game has bugs, bad game design decisions and lies to you. Lets go over the Bad game design decisions first.
Bad game design
By far the most fun aspect of this game is the mining. But the game activly goes out of your way to make you do as little as possible of it as you progress through the game. Here's why:
Your day to day progression is locked behind reaching a Fixed amount of money each day. This causes a lot of upgrades to not really give you more money each day (as you would expect from their description) but to just progress through the day itself faster. So, a day could be over in less then a second because you mine so fast, and your mining is so efficient you reach the goal of that day extreemly fast.
Another concequence of each day having a fixed amount of money you can earn is that there is no real difference between runs. You will have roughly the same amount of money at the end of each day no mater how many times you have prestieged or upgraded. So your upgrade paths and decisions never really change between each run making the game really boring to prestiege.
On the topic of prestiege, 95% of the upgrades you can get from resetting your progress have a minimal effect on your subsequent runs. Eg, "+4% increase in spaning a explosive" The upgrades you get are worse than the upgrades you can just buy during a run.
There are a few prestiege upgrades that sound really good "Conditional upgrades dont require conditions anymore" That sounds amazing, but, what does it mean? The game doesnt tell you and when i selected it i did not really notice anything different during my run. In any case, worthwile upgrades are few and far between.
Finally, Every day you are able to progress after getting more money. Except when you reach the last third of the days (Days 20 through 30) for whatever reason you go from being able to earn 30.000 in a day all the way down to 8.000 and i just dont understand why. It feels as if the game is punishing you from getting to the final day that allows you to grind for money to find better prestiege upgrades. And at that point most of the upgrades you need to buy cost 20.000 or more a piece. So your upgrade progress is also soft locked untill you reach that final day or just save up between days.
A lie the game tells you
Lets go over to the 'lies'. The game mentioned that you can end a day by clicking the end early button, and that there is no negative consequence to doing that. But that is not true. When you end a day early you dont progress to the next day. You have to reach the fixed goal to progress to the next day. I dont really care if the button lets you progress to the next day or not. but dont tell me there are no condequences when in fact. there are!
Bugs
Finally, bugs! Or, what i think are bugs
The game mentions that your miners can take damage from projectiles. (They can't, causing the entire health and regeneration pahtway to be obsolete except for the additional miner upgrades in that pathway. It also makes a few of the prestige upgrades obsolete.
There is an upgrade in the explosion branch that tells you that you get "+0% increase in explosion span chance when ....". Not sure if the text is just wrong or the upgrade actually doesnt do anything at all.
There is a upgrade in the crit chance tree that is so high in the upgrade field that you cant read the detailed description of what it does. (altough you can deduce it from the image)
After getting an prestiege upgrade that randomly unlocks an available upgrade at the end of each day the game eventually soft locked me once i got all the upgrades and i had to start a completely new run without any of my prestiege levels
Conclusion
The game is fun for a single run which will take you about half an hour to 45 minutes to complete. If that time is worth the price of the game. Go ahead.
if you like getting all the achievements in the games you play dont bother. Its boring and tedious. If you expect to buy a game that will give you a few hours of fun as you build up to a broken build that just tears through the progression dont get this game as the day progresssion prevents you from doing that.
Even if all the bugs i mentioned are fixed, i still think that the game punishes you from getting to strong by making you play less of the fun bits. So, an redesign into the day to day progression and a better ballanced and clearer prestiege upgrades are nececary to make this game worth it for me
