Divide TCG is a pixel-art card game where you draft artifacts and build decks inspired by tabletop RPGs. The core loop involves constructing a party and testing strategies across matches in the Genesis set. It appeals to deck-building enthusiasts seeking a retro-styled card experience, though the interface could use refinement for clarity.

Where to begin. So for starters like all AI slop theres no tutorial or even a welcome message its just "okay build a deck and click stuff to figure out what the actual game is" which is coupled with it's best friend "you cant read any of the ability text while building your deck". If the dev is reading this i BEG OF YOU PLEASE. Take the wheel out of the AI's hands. It's so apparent that you arent using it as an assist but as the entire creation process. You have power creep in a game that came out 5 days ago. There are cards that have just flat out better stats than others with the same effect with no cost difference. just to list out the issues i had with the game real quick:
the two known issues in a game that is just JPEGs shouldnt run at 10fps on a modern machine thats a straight up sin. and fullscreen doesnt work if your resolution is greater than 1920x1080
also the game refuses to function if you leave fullscreen (PLEASE TELL ME WHY YOU BOUND ESCAPE TO LEAVE FULLSCREEN THEN OH WAIT YOU CANT BECAUSE THE AI DID THAT)
Board sizes and keywords dont really make sense. Why does a game with a 20 card deck and 5 board slots have so many cards that draw a card on death? You cycle through your deck in 10 turns and deck out with just like 2 cards that draw. On top of that the AI has an infinite deck so instead of auto losing when you cant play any more cards, like any normal card game, youre forced to sit and wait for the AI to play 30 cards and kill you.
AI isnt even programmed it just flips a coin on whether it trades or direct attacks.
Please just actually make the game yourself. Any person with 0 coding or game design experience could take a look at this and tell you its a steaming pile of garbage
Wow, amazing — congratulations to the developer for spending their time and money, and to all the others making similar games, for showing me that AI can now create card games. Thanks.
🛠️ Patch Notes: Performance, Fullscreen, & The Deck Analyzer! Hey everyone! Thank you so much for the early reviews and feedback. Watching you all test out the prototype has been incredible, and your bug reports are helping me shape the game. I’ve just pushed a new update live to address some of the biggest pieces of feedback I've received so far: ⚡ Massive Performance Boosts (Lag Fixes): I heard you on the lag! I spent today optimizing the web client, stripping out some heavy background visual filters, and fixing a memory leak in the rendering engine. The Tavern should now run buttery-smooth, even on older hardware. 🖥️ Fullscreen Override: Some of you reported the game refusing to enter fullscreen mode. I’ve implemented a brute-force, cross-browser override. When you click "ENTER THE DIMENSION," it should now properly lock you in without the browser UI getting in the way. 🔒 Tavern Brawl Security (Exploit Patched): Shoutout to the players who realized you could sneak Mythic and Legendary cards into the low-level boss fights! I've patched the UI bug that was allowing banned cards to slip through. You'll actually have to beat the Drunken Goblin with standard gear now. 🔮 NEW: Dynamic Deck Analyzer: When building your party for an Expedition or Tavern Brawl, the game will now automatically analyze your deck's synergy! As you draft cards, it reads your keywords and assigns you an Archetype (like Spellweaver, The Wall, or Aggro Rush) right above the start button so you know exactly what kind of strategy you're walking in with. Divide TCG is still very much a living prototype, and I am actively working on balance, new features, and bug fixes behind the scenes. Keep pushing the limits of the game, and keep the feedback coming!
Dev Note: Performance & Fullscreen Fixes IncomingHey everyone! Thank you so much for the early feedback and reviews. It is incredibly helpful for shaping the game. Thanks to your reports, I am currently investigating a few specific areas:Performance & Optimization: I hear you on the lag! I am actively digging into the background rendering and visual filters to smooth out the frame rate and reduce the load on your hardware.Fullscreen Access: Some of you reported issues getting the game to launch in fullscreen mode. I am currently testing a much stronger cross-browser override to make sure everyone can get fully immersed in the Dimension without the browser UI getting in the way.Divide TCG is still very much an early prototype, and I am working hard behind the scenes to get these tweaks implemented and tested. Expect an update to roll out soon and please keep the feedback coming!
