I didn't realize the level of AI that would be in this game, which is pretty much everything. This is a web browser game, slapped together with prompts. The UI is terrible, the game tracks you via cookies, and there is nothing worth playing here. I recommend avoiding at all costs.
Excellent game. Devs are very responsive to input. It's Early Access, it isn't going to be perfect. I recommend this game to ANYONE that like resource management. As long as the Devs stay engaged and the changes that need to happen happen, this game is going to be excellent. I played mostly thought the browser before steam and have hundreds of hours played now.
Played the demo, and really glad to see my progression rolled over, i like this game alot, no rush, play at my own rate, it's up to you how fast you level, learning curve in beginning, but all games are like that, hoping the devs stay with it, with updates, etc, fun game.....
Guilds of Mountgate – Update v0.3.4.1Greetings Adventurers,v0.3.4.1 is now live!Following the much larger v0.3.4.0 update, this release focuses primarily on three areas: Player Trading, Crafting & Smithing usability, and another substantial visual pass across the interface. A More Flexible Flea MarketThe Flea Market continues to evolve into a proper player-to-player trading system. You can now offer entire Crates containing non-stackable items, making it much easier to sell collections of equipment or other individual goods without consuming an excessive number of offer slots.Multiple non-stackable items can also be combined into a single offer slot inside your Player Stall. We've also significantly expanded the pricing range for inexpensive goods.Low-value items can now be listed between ±1% and up to ±50% of their base value, rather than being restricted to the previous ±10% range. This should make the Flea Market considerably more useful for everyday goods where a difference of a few Copper simply wasn't enough to create meaningful competition between sellers. More Choice at Crafting & Smithing StationsOne of the goals of the recent Crafting and Smithing changes has been to give individual workshops and settlements stronger identities. Not every Smithy should necessarily feel identical, and the things available at a location should increasingly reflect the place itself. At the same time, we understand that some players simply prefer the convenience of the older combined recipe view.So now you can have both.Crafting and Smithing Stations include a new option that allows you to show all recipes currently available to your skill, similar to the previous system. If you prefer the more immersive location-based approach, you can keep using it. If you'd rather have the convenience of seeing everything in one place, you can enable that instead. We've also rebalanced several regional Smithing tier unlocks to better support the location-focused progression. Another Major UI PassT...
Guilds of Mountgate – Update v0.3.4.0Greetings Adventurers,v0.3.4.0 is now live!Following the successful launch of Guilds of Mountgate and the enormous amount of progress made since then, this update marks another important step for the game.Over the past updates, we've spent a lot of time not only adding new systems, but also filling, connecting and polishing the world that already exists. Settlements have received their own identities, professions have become increasingly interconnected, and many of the systems that started as relatively isolated mechanics are now becoming part of a much larger whole. With v0.3.4.0, several of those systems come together – and we're reaching a point where we're finally ready to start looking beyond the borders of the currently accessible world. Player Freight & the Mountgate Trade OfficePlayers can now take a much more active role in the movement of goods across Vellgar with the new Player Freight System. At the newly opened Mountgate Trade Office, you'll find Supply Contracts and Public Tenders, offering new opportunities to participate in the regional economy.Rather than simply selling whatever happens to be in your Inventory to the nearest merchant, these systems are another step towards making production, transportation, regional demand and the different settlements of Vellgar matter together. And this is only the foundation.Freight, contracts and regional trade give us plenty of room for further expansion as more settlements, resources and industries become part of the world. Community Projects Become Part of the WorldThe original Community Project in Greenford was always intended as a pilot. That pilot has now been replaced by a proper dynamic Community Project system.Projects can appear across the World Map and give players shared objectives to work towards, rather than permanently tying the system to one location. The first new addition is the Flea Market Community Event, with more projects and variations planned as the system ...
