I dont know where to start, this game is very very ambitious and the amount of work put in is next level, but not everything is good, it has very good parts and less better parts. But the constant work the developer puts in and regular updates and improvements can be seen from update to update
The GOOD: - the game has A LOT of content, profesions, combat, quests, pets, mounts , factions, strongholds, gears, enchanthemtns and it is not very repetable, always something unlocks - i like the combat, for an idler game the combat is really good and makes you feel you are really in a rpg. everything connect together pretty okay - i like the interface overalla nd there are some smart tweaks you can do to it - class system for player is a really good idea, they are not a lot of different but they give a stronger MMORPG feeling. Yea i would like the classes to be a bit more different between each other but this is a really good start and i think this was missing from other games of its genre - i like that it has logs and you can see what you do all the time adn you can look behind what you did and if you dont know something you can search for that something in the game and you can find an exaplantions in the wiki
the BAD; - some things can be explained more clearly, the interface is a bit difficult in the beginning and you dont know what to do first time so i think a tutorial for every button could do the trick. Some of the menus need a bit of cleaning up - again some text can be too much,i told the developer this and massive improvements have been made but ofcourse there is still room for improvements - some things like echo and strongholds can be improved and i think it is in development - some quests are repatable and i think you need to have longer quests, like always to farm more than a few pieces to complete a step - maybe from dungeons when you are out of food you can have a link directly to cooking or angling?
what i think it would be necessary or good to have -somehow to turn RPG into MMORPG and to connect players somehow - make leader boards for more things because what it is now in that state is a bit addicting, so do more, even do maybe weekly boards, person who does more of everything is listed on the top of the page as Player of the Week - more achievements i heard it is coming soon, up to 100?
The game has a lot of potential and you can see that from the first hour or gameplay, it is already rich with content, the dev is SUPER responsive and listents to the community which is something super rare. I really want to see bringing an online to it to connect the players a bit I would give 7.5/10 right now but two days ago it was a 6/.10 so it is improving
A bit rough around the edges in some places but there has been a lot of work put into this game and I can see it becoming very good. The fact that there are classes makes this more interesting than most games out there. The dev is very quick to respond and is open to suggestions which is something you want in an early access.
Missing AI disclosure for, at the very least, translations and english text.
Game itself is mediocre at best. UI is atrocious. Bloated with unncessary information. All the buttons are twice the size they need to be. Changes in quantities of "resourse" take a couple of seconds. Image elements are so small, that you can't even see the art, which kind of makes me wonder if you really need it there. Art you can see rarely relates to what it is supposed to represent. Music is weird. I understand it's all royalty free stuff, but why would you add something techno-ish to your RPG game. Did you even listen to the tracks you added? Gameplay is what you would expect from an idle game, but is severly held back by the terrible UI.
Overall it feels like a vibecoding project (with no AI disclosures). It's not good. Play Melvor Idle instead.
Astaryn is now out of 1.0. Even though the game is always improving, the number of active players was low in EA, to improve the game, it needs players to constantly grind it (as it is meant to be).As always, if you have any issues with the game, or questions, post in discussions or contact me in private to have a chat.I am open to any suggestions and any improvements, at all times! I am available 24/7 to support Astaryn.Thank you everyone for your support.
